Wildflower Infused Cocktails, Garden Dining, and More Await at This Luxurious Alpine Retreat

BEAVER CREEK, Colo. (May 31, 2017)The Ritz-Carlton, Bachelor Gulch will be adding a pop of color to its seasonal offerings through the launch of its summer WYLD Flower Program – a nod to the vibrant Colorado wildflowers that bloom in the resort’s very own backyard between June and August every summer, as well as the resort’s newest signature restaurant, WYLD. The WYLD Flower Program invites guests to embrace nature and the great outdoors with a new lineup of culinary, spa, and Naturalist Program offerings.

With hundreds of varieties of indigenous Colorado wildflowers spanning every color of the rainbow, The Ritz-Carlton, Bachelor Gulch brings the beauty of the outdoors through the walls of the resort to provide travelers a unique way to experience summer. From daily nature hikes led by the resort’s Resident Naturalists, to wildflower-infused spa treatments, and specialty floral cocktails, summertime in Colorado is something to be experienced by all.

Starting in June, guests and locals alike are invited to indulge in the following WYLD Flower Program experiences, available throughout the summer months:

Culinary Delights

Garden Gourmand
WYLD’s first summer embraces Colorado culinary tradition in a delightful dining setting fit for foodies. Rustic yet sophisticated, a menu developed by WYLD’s Executive Sous Chef, Aaron Baxendale, will vary weekly based on seasonal ingredients, featuring delectable meats and specialty salads. A bespoke experience with stunning views, garden dining promises to inspire the most discerning palates. Program starts mid-June.

WYLD Flower Cocktails
Inspired by a colorful Colorado backdrop blooming with seasonal wildflowers, WYLD’s mixologists have prepared a stirring summer cocktail menu to tantalize the taste buds. Each name derived from a different Colorado wildflower species, guests are invited to indulge in the following:

  • Lavendula Angustifolia – house-made limoncello, lavender-pink peppercorn syrup, lemonade, soda water
  • Rosa Alba – raspberry vodka, white chocolate liquor, rose water extract
  • Camellia Sinensis – Craigellachie Scotch, chamomile-infused honey syrup, lemon bitters
  • Hibiscus Syricus – añejo tequila, hibiscus tea, St. Germaine, lime juice, agave syrup, orange bitters

Summer Frozé
Perfect for a hot summer day while lounging at the resort’s outdoor pool, guests can
indulge in the resort’s very own frozé while taking in magnificent mountain views.

Outdoor Adventures

Summer Wildflower Hikes
Led by the resort’s Resident Naturalist, guests of all ages can embark on an outdoor expedition to explore the hundreds of wildflower varietals, including the Colorado state flower, the Rocky Mountain Columbine that can be spotted just steps outside of The Ritz- Carlton, Bachelor Gulch. Offered complimentary each day at 10:00 a.m., guests will learn how to identify certain types of wildflowers, along with their characteristics and function.
This tour is included in the resort fee for hotel guests and no reservations are required.

Peaceful Practice
Guests can fully embrace the tranquility of Bachelor Gulch as they hike to a peaceful spot for a yoga and meditation practice among the trees and wildflowers. Afterwards, guests will sit with a panorama of stunning views to enjoy warm and comforting herbal tea or a refreshing pressed juice along with fresh fruit. Returning to the resort, participants will feel calm, grounded, and far from the frenzied energy of everyday life.
Mindfulness is not just for adults, the whole family will enjoy this fun outing as the guide incorporates stories, games and kid friendly animal poses to cater to yogis and explorers of all ages. $250 for up to 4 guests and $30 for each additional guest

Wildflower-Infused Spa Treatments

Mountain Spa Morning
This package combines three wellness experiences into the perfect retreat. Explore vast meadows and winding trails with vibrant colors on guided hike; awaken your body with private yoga class and enter a state of bliss and total relaxation with a massage. This series can be booked with ample time for lunch and a leisurely soak in the spa to create a day long retreat. $600 for up to 2 guests and $250 for each additional guest. Package includes a 90-minute guided hike, a 50-minute private yoga class, a 60-minute signature massage for each guest, a 20-minute session at the spa’s oxygen bar for each guest, a healthy fruit juice for each guest, and use of the spa’s hydrotherapy pools.
