The Signature Steak House at The Ritz-Carlton Completes Remodel

DENVER, Colo. – May 15, 2014 – The downtown outpost of ELWAY'S steak houses, co-owned by Denver Broncos quarterback and NFL Hall of Famer John Elway, has completed renovations to its lounge, bar and dining room, all of which began in early January with most of the construction taking place at night. ELWAY’S Downtown showed off the enhancements during an unveiling celebration with John Elway himself, who was pleased with the upgrades and the new private room, fittingly named ‘John’s Room’.

Aspen-based design and architecture firm, Rowland+Broughton, was selected to spearhead the nearly five-month long project. The dining room’s most stunning modification is the remarkable Onyx stone wall that acts a divider from the bar. Perhaps the most notable addition to the restaurant is a new private dining room – or ‘John’s Room’ -- which can comfortably accommodate up to 12 guests and offers a private viewing window into the bustling kitchen; the space is ideal for celebrations, meetings or for those seeking a more dynamic dining experience. The room is equipped with an HD-TV with audio visual capabilities as well as locally made, custom created tables and credenzas -- some using recycled, natural wood resources locally referred to as Beetle Kill Pine. The adjacent lounge just off the restaurant’s main entrance features new dark wood floors, a stone fireplace along with a community-style table, also locally made and custom designed, and banquette-style seating in rich leather tones that has created an inviting space for guests to dine, gather and meet. The bar itself has expanded; new tables and stools along with the creation of banquette seating have added more seats to accommodate increased business demand. All renovated areas come equipped with charging stations while the entire restaurant will continue to offer Wi-Fi access.
