DENVER, Colo. – December 1, 2017 With twinkling lights ornamenting city streets,
The Ritz-Carlton, Denver unveils a special treat this holiday season in the newly renovated hotel lobby.

Crafted by the hotel’s Culinary, Pastry and Engineering teams, a nine-foot tall gingerbread cabin has been unveiled against a backdrop of marble, mahogany and local artwork. Like any quality house, it has been built with tools, ladders, and trained professionals. Unique to this holiday home, it has been constructed of gingerbread, frosting and candy. Taking a total of 80 hours to complete, the ingredients are impressive with 48 pounds of butter, 1152 whole eggs, 336 cups of sugar, and 1200 cups of flour for the gingerbread, 640 egg whites and 200 pounds of sugar for the frosting, and 80 pounds of candy to adorn the façade.

Guests can visit the gingerbread cabin throughout the month of December while enjoying additional festivities at the hotel. This includes thoughtful holiday décor, the inaugural Holiday Tea with Santa on December 9th at 11 am, a daily menorah lighting from December 12-20, a complimentary daily lobby offering of craft hot chocolate from 4-5pm, seasonally-inspired spa services, and special holiday menus in ELWAY’S Downtown.
