Reservations Now Available for the Sunday Brunch of the Year as Chef Samuelson Celebrates Black History Month with the Red Rooster Cookbook
DALLAS, Texas – January 30, 2017 – Dallas food-lovers are in for a treat, as renowned chef Marcus Samuelsson of New York’s Red Rooster Harlem will join Chef Dean Fearing for brunch service on Sunday February 19. The experience is part of a new initiative showcasing the best of local and national/international chefs appearing in side-by-side collaboration with the Fearing’s Restaurant culinary team.
To celebrate Black History Month, Marcus Samuelsson will be taking his newly released, The Red Rooster Cookbook: The Story of Food and Hustle in Harlem on a multi-city tour, including Dallas. Samuelsson’s famed Red Rooster builds on Harlem’s rich culinary culture, and his larger restaurant collection encompasses further New York City establishments as well as top-rated dining destinations in Chicago, Bermuda and Scandinavia. Born in Ethiopia, Chef Samuelsson grew up in Sweden and offers an eclectic, vibrant and artistic international menu. The Red Rooster Cookbook goes beyond recipes, offering a close-up look at this storied neighborhood with photography, music, and essays by other Harlem icons like Bevy Smith, Thelma Golden, and more. As Samuelsson explains, “I’m thrilled to be doing a tour to honor Black History Month as the book really is a dive into Harlem culture through food, music, art, fashion and community. Dean Fearing is an incredible chef and I look forward to partnering with him at this brunch event.”
The February 19 Sunday Brunch at Fearing’s will allow diners to enjoy menu selections by both Samuelsson and Fearing. During the event, diners will be able to purchase a copy of Chef Samuelsson’s Red Rooster Cookbook, which he will autograph for them. Seating is limited for this special event, and advance reservations are required.
