DALLAS, Texas – July 13, 2017 -- When it opened to national design acclaim in 2007, Fearing’s Restaurant was hailed for its vibrant and lively interiors -- and for its seven dining settings filled with distinctively different personalities.

This year, Chef Dean Fearing is raising the design bar, unveiling a striking remastering of every space in the restaurant. For the innovation, he enlisted the design talents of Atlanta’s Bill Johnson Studio, as it was Johnson himself who was behind the restaurant’s original design.

The result? Dramatic new custom interiors have been unveiled, featuring rich textures and visuals, and even more locations for relaxing and gathering as well as dining. Striking pops of blue can now be seen throughout the restaurant, along with warm burgundy accents and subtle shades of charcoal – each enhancing notable custom-built furniture and new, bespoke soft goods and floor coverings.

An expanded focus on mixing and mingling can be seen in the recrafted Rattlesnake Lounge which adjoins the popular bar, while the outdoor Live Oak Patio has also been reimagined to support its increasing role as a venue for cultural and entertainment events as well as al fresco drinking and dining.

“Our new redesign showcases so many elements that it really takes several visits to take in all the details,” said chef/partner Dean Fearing. “I’m thrilled with the new look, and I think the new additions will help diners to stay longer, and to relax and gather with friends, both indoors and out. Fearing’s feels like much more than just a restaurant these days.”

Highlights of the renovation include:

Dean’s Kitchen: Rich blue leather invigorates booth settees, with prevailing new accents of cobalt enriching the entire room. Blue-framed chairs at the Chef’s Table are a special highlight.

The Rattlesnake Bar: New custom seating instills a more relaxing vibe, while a modern chrome chandelier adds sculptural interest. For guests moving into the adjoining Rattlesnake Lounge, a moodier personality features the use of darkened charcoal and blue velvet. Plenty of added seating makes for easy congregating, especially during the bar’s new entertainment-focused Happy Hour.

The Gallery: A more refined setting, The Gallery has been enhanced with shades of warm gray and burgundy, elegant new wall and floor coverings, and beautiful custom upholstery for both casual and fine dining.

Sendero: This enchanting glass-walled room is filled with new custom furnishings that reflect light from the outside and from the magical chandelier above, with rich burgundy injecting warmth throughout.

The Wine Cellar: A single piece of live-edged tree trunk forms the Cellar’s stunning new dining and tasting table, complemented by bright accents of cobalt blue adding punch not only to chairs but also to the room’s striking custom carpet.

The Ocaso: With its bubbling water feature and expansive outdoor setting, the Ocaso now enjoys increased seating, along with lively design accents in bright plum, and a new bar-height communal table ideal for outdoor dining and larger celebrations.

The Live Oak Patio: An Uptown epicenter for food and drink, the popular bar/patio features a new central pergola for hanging out, with its wood construction lending warmth to the outdoor surface. Also new:  lots of comfortable seating ottomans in shades of plum and wine, an enticing suspended liquor display, added nighttime lighting, and special fireplace features to ramp up the after-dark appeal.

All elements of the Fearing’s renovation are now in place and can be enjoyed by diners and bar guests. Be prepared for more upcoming news, to include the August introduction of major restaurant dining and entertainment innovations, the arrival of a celebrated new Fearing’s sous chef, and the long-awaited announcement of Fearing’s 10th Anniversary festivities -- set to hit Dallas this coming fall.
