Dubai, United Arab Emirates, 24 August 2014 - Behind its handsome limestone façade, The Ritz-Carlton, Dubai International Financial Centre is well-known for its affinity with Dubai’s art-scene, largely due to its unique location amongst DIFC’s plethora of galleries, and its own burgeoning art collection of over 130 pieces. The luxury hotel is now bringing some additional artistry to its MICE offerings, with a range of new and creative, art-inspired menus, designed to further engage guests of its facilities, as well as two new meetings spaces.
The Artistry Collection
The new menus, known as the ‘Artistry Collection’ were created by Executive Banquet Chef, Manuel Caicedo, and Executive Pastry Chef, Dragan Rucnov, and offer a choice of three creative menus for guests wishing to offer something over and above the traditional ‘coffee break’ during a meeting or conference. All the food is crafted by hand by the talented team of chefs, and presented in creative ways, designed to engage, inspire and ‘wow’.
The three menus include ‘Gallery’, where food and beverages are presented on easels and in frames in the style of an art gallery, ‘Canvas’, where the talented chefs decorate a giant canvas live in front of guests with an array of sweets, chocolates, mini desserts, cakes and candies, and finally ‘Texture’, where guests are treated to an assault on the senses, with an array of textures flavors and visuals including presentations on dry ice.
Lothar Quarz, General Manager, The Ritz-Carlton, DIFC, comments: “All guests of the hotel are looking for unique, engaging experiences, and MICE guests are no different. With our ‘Artistry Collection’ of menus we are seeking to provide our meetings guests with a fun, creative talking point, designed to relax, engage and inspire, before it’s back to business.”
Guests can now also opt for an organic menu, or an entirely bespoke presentation, which can be themed to the client or brand’s needs.
Creative Meetings Space
September will also see the opening of two new 60 sq. meter meeting rooms at The Ritz-Carlton, DIFC. Named ‘Sahaab’, meaning ‘cloud’ in Arabic, the two new rooms will sit alongside and perfectly complement the elegant Samaya Ballroom, meaning ‘my sky’ in Arabic, on the ground floor, with space for a maximum of 30 and 40 people respectively, and the option to connect the two rooms together.
The hotel already boasts a variety of MICE space, bringing its total now to ten private meeting rooms, and a 1,400 sq. meter ballroom. The spectacular Samaya Ballroom is divisible by four, to cater to every size of event, and with space for up to 900 people for a banquet, a private entrance and pre-function area, it serves as the perfect venue for large-scale events such as awards evenings, gala dinners and elegant weddings. Alternatively, two alfresco terraces offer a lush urban oasis, perfect for smaller gatherings. The Terrace accommodates up to 240 guests, whilst the magical Sunken Garden, surrounded by a serene landscape of palm trees and a dramatic water fountain, is the perfect option for a cocktail reception or intimate banquet.
