Dubai, United Arab Emirates, May 2016 – The Ritz-Carlton, DIFC, in partnership with the Dubai International Financial Centre, will be showcasing its commitment to innovation with the launch of a striking new Ramadan experience reflective of the hotel’s cosmopolitan location in the heart of Dubai, the DIFC Ramadan Majlis.

The DIFC Ramadan Majlis will provide luxurious Iftar and Suhoor, creating a lively yet relaxed ambience within a modern Arabian setting, whilst its team of talented chefs will serve classic Arabian fare and Middle Eastern favorites with a modern twist.

Iftar in the Ramadan Majlis
The Ritz-Carlton, DIFC will be unveiling a brand new design which will see the expansive Samaya ballroom transformed into a lavish Ramadan majlis to create a truly memorable experience for guests. Presented in partnership with Finance House PJSC, the modern white design and contemporary furniture will create a cohesive space which can be divided for private events, while the sumptuous Iftar buffet, collection of six private majlis and soothing music will ensure a relaxed yet lively ambience and traditional Arabian feel throughout.

New for 2016, groups of up to 20 people can experience true Arabian hospitality in one of two private outdoor Iftar tents - the ‘Royal Majlis’ and ‘Al Maha Majlis’ - where guests can savor the moment with a continuous flow of refreshments served courtesy of their own private butler, plus exclusive use of the tent for Suhoor, where an a la carte menu will be available.

Culinary Craftsmanship
A wide selection of traditional Ramadan dishes will form part of the lavish buffet, including hot and cold mezze, salads, seafood, grills, and a dessert buffet including an array of desserts, dates and Arabic sweets.  The real highlight will come in the form of the extensive live cooking stations, where The Ritz-Carlton, DIFC’s chefs will showcase their creative flair.

Leading the way this year will be the new Mezzeh N7, a traditional cold mezzeh creatively constructed by combining different textures mixed with liquid nitrogen, for a magical sensory experience. The cold and crispy mezzeh will be accompanied by a Falafel Waffle, traditional Arabic flavored ice cream and roasted nut.

Also back by popular demand will be the hotel’s now famous Arabian Sushi station, featuring with handmade nigiri, maki and temaki sushi combined with Middle Eastern flavors such as lamb shawarma, hammour, and shish kebab rolls.  Other innovations making a return include last year’s hero, the Savory Booza, offered in four popular Ramadan flavors (tahini, beetroot mutable, sweet potato mutable and hummus), and the Hummus Fountain, where guests will be able to dip pitta bread, falafel and stuffed olives into the flowing hummus.

The DIFC Ramadan Majlis will also serve an à la carte Suhoor daily in, offering a range of Middle Eastern cuisine, along with a wide-range of shisha flavors, table seating or private majlis, and live musical entertainment.
