Dubai, United Arab Emirates, November 1, 2015: Palm Grill is the new casual beachside dining experience at The Ritz-Carlton, Dubai, providing masses of rustic charm alongside grilled seafood, sundowners and a new weekly beach barbecue. The only dining destination located directly on the sand along JBR’s The Walk, Palm Grill offers breathtaking views of the Arabian Gulf, where no shoes and certainly no filter are needed!
Open for lunch and dinner, the restaurant specializes in grilled seafood and offers an enticing à la carte menu, starting with the ‘bucket list’; a range of appetizers served in generous buckets, from citrus poached prawns to the refreshing ceviche mixto or smoked, charred chicken wings. The cuisine is complemented by a fun menu of tropical drinks, as chilled as the relaxed ambience and the sweeping shores of the JBR beachfront.
‘Chill & Grill’ Beach BBQ
Saturdays welcome the ‘Chill & Grill’ beach BBQ, a unique casual brunch concept where guests can enjoy unlimited barbecued food, seated at rustic wooden tables on the decking, or barefoot in the sand on a blanket beneath the shade. Buffet highlights include a wide selection of grilled meats and seafood, with grilled whole fish, salmon and prawn skewers served alongside an ‘asado’ of whole baby lamb, grilled southern style BBQ chicken and Wagyu beef hotdogs. A range of quirky yet delicious desserts complete the menu, with assorted ‘Sweet Jars’ including delicious chocolate ‘brownies’ and ‘blondies’, as well as a range of ‘Campfire Pies’, finished on the BBQ, with a choice of three delicious fillings, such as blueberry with lemon whipped cream, strawberry & rhubarb or cinnamon apple streusel, and a live ‘island-style’ band completes the experience.
Diners may choose from a variety of beverage packages to suit their taste, from soft beverages (AED 250), to five cocktails (AED 300), or five cocktails, house wines or beers (AED 380).
4pm-7pm daily is the time for sundowners at Palm Grill, where exotic cocktails and mocktails focus on tropical fruit flavors, using popular ingredients such as mango, pineapple, coconut, passion fruit and guava, alongside pitchers of classic favorites such as Pina Colada, tropical rum punch and a variety of ‘bucket list’ snacks.
Palm Grill at The Ritz-Carlton, Dubai, is open daily from 12 pm until 6 pm for lunch, from 4pm until 7pm for Sundowners and from 7pm until 11 pm for dinner. The ‘Chill & Grill’ Beach BBQ takes place every Saturday from 1pm-4pm. A live ‘island style band’ plays at the BBQ, and on Thursday and Friday evenings from 6pm-9pm.
