Award confirms The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company L.L.C as the favourite of business travellers

ISTANBUL, TURKEY — January 29, 2015 — With a unique view over the glittering Bosphorus, an impeccable reputation for service and 2,403 square metres of meeting and conference space, The Ritz-Carlton, Istanbul has always been the hotel of choice for business travellers.

But now there is yet another reason to get down to business at the landmark hotel. The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company L.L.C has been recognised as the world’s Best Business Hotel Brand by travellers surveyed by the prestigious magazines Travel + Leisure and Fortune.

The Ritz-Carlton, Istanbul is no stranger to major awards. It has been awarded Best Overseas Business Hotel by readers of Condé Nast Traveller, named one of the top five best hotel experiences in Turkey by Travel+Leisure and was voted Central Eastern Europe’s Best Employer for two consecutive years by Hewitt Associates.

Awarding the Best Business Hotel Brand to The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company L.L.C, Travel+Leisure magazine said this is “a brand renowned for service and tradition… that remains relevant to business travellers who prioritise savvy design and digital tools as much as grand cru Darjeeling tea”. The brand’s secret, said the magazine, is “an emphasis on chic, modern aesthetics with a strong sense of place”.

This is certainly true of The Ritz-Carlton, Istanbul. In addition to stunning views over both the Bosphorus and historic old town, the hotel has enjoyed a recent series of major refurbishments including the creation of the new Atelier Real Food restaurant, a makeover of the open-air spa and the transformation of the Club Lounge into one of the most exclusive comfort zones in the city.

“Those who voted are highly discerning business travellers who average nine trips a year, so to achieve the number one ranking against fierce competition from the best hotel companies in the world is a tribute to the hard work of everyone at The Ritz-Carlton,” said General Manager Massimiliano Zanardi.

When it comes to business, the hotel offers impeccable service and innovation. In addition to dedicated Conference Concierges, 2,403 square metres of meeting and conference space, a permanent executive boardroom and the most sophisticated online, audio and video facilities available, business travellers can use the hotel’s two convertible The Ritz-Carlton cars.

“They are perfect for getting to meetings in and add that unique element to The Ritz-Carlton, Istanbul that business travellers love,” said General Manager Massimiliano Zanardi.
