ISTANBUL, TURKEY — June 02, 2014 — The refreshing ambience of the open-air spa and terrace at The Ritz-Carlton, Istanbul, has always been a sophisticated hotspot for the city’s sun-lovers, but in summer there are even more reasons to enjoy the coolest comfort zone in the city.
Guests are welcomed with Japanese-style ‘oshibori’ cooling towels, a refreshing cocktail and invited to indulge in a delicious ice-cream, while our Ladies and Gentlemen are always available to ensure sunglasses remain crystal clear and sun cream is evenly distributed.
At the open-air spa, natural fruit masks are available to ensure a healthy fresh-faced glow and a range of smoothing massage therapies are on hand at the terrace cabanas.
The hotel is introducing early morning fitness as well as open-air cardio sessions for guests. For guests who like to take a dip, there are special aqua fitness sessions in the pool. Providing exercise inspiration are the stunning views of the Bosphorus.
The terrace enjoys the only open-air spa in Istanbul and there are two indulgent treatment rooms in addition to a pool, three alfresco Jacuzzis, a sophisticated bar, sleek teak decking and stylish sun-loungers.
“Any time of the year the terrace and open-air spa is a wonderful place to unwind, but in summer it is incredibly popular with sun-lovers who enjoy relaxed elegance,” said hotel General Manager Massimiliano Zanardi. “Seasons may change, but here some things stay the same. The view over the Bosphorus is always wonderful.”
The bar offers a wide range of summer refreshments ranging from delicious drinks and cool smoothies to fresh fruits, while the open-air private spa rooms provide a haven of calm and the ultimate in reviving treatments.
For guests who like to recline online when enjoying the summer air, there is complimentary wifi.
The open-air spa is open from 9 am to 8 pm during summer months and is open to visitors as well as hotel guests.
