Connoisseurs of life’s most enriching experiences always appreciate the art of simplicity.”
ISTANBUL, TURKEY— September 20, 2014 — At The Ritz-Carlton, Istanbul, the passionate pursuit of simple delicious food has been elevated to a fine art form at the hotel’s new restaurant, Atelier Real Food.
“At Atelier Real Food our philosophy is as simple as our dishes. There are no chefs’ egos, no over-complication, just exceptional food prepared exceptionally well,” says General Manager Max Zanardi.
“Connoisseurs of life’s most enriching experiences always appreciate the art of simplicity, particularly when it comes to delicious food.”
At Atelier Real Food, the open kitchen entices with its handmade French Rotisserie, all dishes use fresh local seasonal ingredients, culinary excellence is celebrated by delicious ‘farm-to-table’ flavours and a back-to-basics tradition inspires the unique dishes of the chefs’ ‘atelier’.
Of course the art of simplicity can be extraordinarily complex to achieve. Chef Andre spent three years exploring Turkey’s culinary secrets on his motorbike from the Black Sea to the Mediterranean.
The results, however, are simply exceptional from succulent rotisserie lamb and delectable sea bass to ragout of calamari with fried calamari.
Handmade breads, meanwhile, are served on hot “Sile” stones brought from Turkey’s Anatolian region and are a perfect accompaniment to the restaurant’s artisanal organic olive oil.
Guests enter the venue through a sliding screen with a mystical touch and are welcomed by glittering views of the Bosphorus and Istanbul city.
The restaurant enjoys an indulgent ‘Winter Garden’ terrace for lovers of alfresco dining, a private chef’s table for 12 for those seeking dining exclusivity and a showcase cellar with 150 local and international wines. In the lobby, Atelier Lounge serves snacks and drinks all day.
The sleek, chic, contemporary interior of Atelier Real Food was designed by the famous Portuguese architect Patricia Piña and the furniture custom-made for the restaurant.
Atelier Real Food is open from 7.30pm while every weekend the restaurant showcases its succulent rotisserie-prepared meats for Sunday Roast brunch from October 19.
