Moscow, Russia — May 20, 2015 — Famous for its marvelous city views, the sweeping outdoor lounge atop The Ritz-Carlton, Moscow has been completely redesigned. International travelers can now get a taste of the Russian capital’s soul and energy in a striking new ambiance complete with an in-depth beverage menu, inventive cocktails and signature food items. New enticing experiences include sunrise breakfasts, lunches with a view and cocktail master classes.

The re-imagined O2 Lounge offers one of the most memorable of all travel experiences in Moscow: overlooking Red Square and the Kremlin in the rays of the rising sun, whilst feasting on a sumptuous breakfast on the outdoor terrace. The breakfast menu features a number of set options, a variety of à la carte items including Russian specialties, exquisite egg dishes, and bakery delights. Luxurious & unique breakfasts are available on weekends only from 5 a.m. to 10.30 a.m. Made-to-order items can be complemented with a glass of champagne – the perfect way to finish an evening in style, or start your day the right way.

A spectacular 360-degree backdrop of the city can also be enjoyed during lunchtime with a special menu featuring Peruvian delights. Depending on where the seating is, the guests can feast their eyes on the ruby stars and golden domes of the Kremlin or see such landmarks as Bolshoi Theatre, Christ the Savior Cathedral, Moscow-City or Moscow State University from afar. A choice of two-course, three-course or the lavish four-course lunch is provided on business days from noon to 5 p.m.

With a total area of 920 sq. m, the new O2 Lounge rooftop terrace has a range of spaces for dining and enjoying a drink. Whether a guest arranges a business meeting in the dining area, enjoys a drink with a loved one in the lounge area, or unwinds with friends in the chic surroundings of the indoor restaurant, they will find themselves in a cutting-edge ambience. Austria-based Destilat studio designed the outdoor space in a contemporary style with simple lines, chic aluminium furniture, mix of soft-colored chairs and sofas, and lamps in complex geometrical forms. The indoor restaurant was also reopened this year following a spectacular redesign.

The gourmet Peruvian-Japanese cuisine makes every experience at the O2 Lounge special. The summer menu crafted by Chef Florent Courriol features Kamchatka crab fritters with green apple, pineapple & curry mayonnaise; tuna tataki salad with seared tuna rare, quinoa, raw vegetables and rocoto dressing; crispy langoustine with basil dip and mixed salad. The all-time O2 Lounge classics like the O2 burger and the O2 garden salad are also back on the menu.

In addition to the regular bar, a new sleek counter is ready to serve delicious cocktails, refreshing smoothies and lemonades on the terrace. The summer cocktail card includes signature mixes by Bar Chef Vitaliy Bgantsov. His chic White Russian is mixed on Ciroc citrus vodka and limited-edition four-grain Russian distillate Krivach, while the signature Borodino cocktail features another local distillate Polugar Honey & Pepper vacuum-infused with smoked pear, pear schnapps & fine scotch. Every Saturday from 4 p.m. our expert mixologist assists guests in making perfect mixes during cocktail master classes.

The renovated O2 Lounge will make any traveler enamored with Moscow no matter what time of the day it is. Timeless views and the new fashionable design make it an ideal location to start the day with a steamy coffee and fresh bakery, discuss a deal over lunch, enjoy an aperitif at dusk, unwind to the sounds of the house DJ or have one last drink after a night out. In any circumstance, the time at the O2 Lounge is certain to be unforgettable.
