On December 2 and 3, a Christmas market at the resort’s 14th century Monastery will be curated with a selection of handmade products, local artisan treats, plenty of food and drink and everything else you'll need to get your festive shopping done and dusted. For your little ones, a fun packed programme will keep all our junior guests entertained.

On Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, the resort’s il Mercato offers extravagant Christmas flavours from around the world — with, of course, an emphasis on fine Portuguese cuisine — while Villa Tamariz Utopia, overlooking the Atlantic and glamorous beach of Estoril, offers a glittering range of festive lunch options and traditional local dishes on Christmas Day. Special children’s menus have also been created to ensure festivities are a real family affair.

Celebrate New Year in style
Cocktails in the imposing medieval palace of Penha Longa are just the start of New Year Eve celebrations at Penha Longa. Taking the stylish theme of the ‘Opera di Veneza’, party-goers can then enjoy an extravagant six-course dinner in the Coroa Ballroom before the clock strikes midnight and the party really starts. Throughout the night there is live entertainment and music as well as a reviving late evening supper. Meanwhile the Ritz Kids’ New Year’s Eve event will include dinner, cinema and magic show topped off with a fun-filled Glow Party.

On New Year’s Eve, Penha Longa’s famous Michelin-starred restaurant, LAB by Sergi Arola, will be offering an unforgettable combination of Portuguese and Catalan-inspired flavours that are certain to linger long into 2017; Villa Tamariz Utopia serves up the perfect New Year’s menu to close the year as well as memorable views overlooking the Atlantic and the resort’s trendy Arola offers live cooking displays and an exclusive range of celebratory New Year’s Eve tapas.
