Penha Longa Hotel Spa & Golf Resort sitsin a national nature reserve just minutes from the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Sintra and 30 minutes from Lisbon on the Estoril coast of Portugal.

The origins of Penha Longa can be traced back to the 14th century when its historic monastery was built and the area has been a meeting place for centuries as well as a retreat for Portuguese royalty and foreign dignitaries.

During the downtime, golf enthusiasts can take advantage of the two world class golf coursesRanked in the top 30 courses in Continental Europe, the Atlantic Course, designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr, is a challenging 18-hole, par 72, championship course with breath-taking views over the surrounding area and has hosted numerous events including the Portuguese Open. Complementing this is the nine-hole Monastery Course, a par 35 executive course of 2,588 metres that spreads around the historical heart of the resort.

For further relaxation the hotel also offers a fully equipped fitness centre, indoor and outdoor swimming pools as well as endless outdoor activities including tennis courts, padel tennis, squash, a jogging track, horse riding and surfing sessions at the nearby beaches.

Delegates won’t go hungry with a choice of five exceptional restaurants catering to every taste, including authentic Italian food at Il Mercato, Japanese fare and exquisite decor at  MidoriRestaurant or fresh fish and seafood at the poolside Pool Bar restaurant.  Close to the lobby the B Loungeserves as a pit stop for casual dining with gourmet burgers and numerous combinations of fillings. Whilst the Arola Restaurant is innovative, fashionable and defiantly cool, serving a creative and contemporary twist to Portuguese cuisine, mixing tradition and heritage dishes, with wines served from a transparent cellar in the restaurant.
