The Ritz-Carlton, Vienna invites guests to uncover the historic and most prestigious area of Vienna – The “Wiener Ringstraße” in a new active way.
Guests can enjoy a smooth run throughout the area, with the hotel’s Running Concierge, Philipp, who is not only a brilliant jogging partner, but also a fantastic guide to the Imperial city, with incredible insight and stories to tell. The 3.5 mile circuit, which usually takes about 40 minutes, depending on fitness levels, showcases some of Vienna’s most important sights and magnificent monuments, many of which are located along the Ring Boulevard.
Started in 1857, by Emperor Franz Joseph I, the road circles the city, replacing the original fortified walls. Along it sit some of Austria’s most celebrated landmarks, including The State Opera House, the first public observatory and the Museum of Fine Art, making it an extraordinary backdrop for a morning jog. Throughout the route, Philipp will bring to life the history of the city, and the run can also be individually tailored to meet a guest’s specific interests, to take in contemporary elements, such as the flourishing culinary scene, which is also thriving in the area.
