AMELIA ISLAND, FLA. (November 25, 2015) Guests of The Ritz-Carlton, Amelia Island and area residents gathered on Wednesday, November 25 for the 19th Annual Tree Lighting benefiting The McArthur Family YMCA. The Amelia Island Chamber Festival Brass Quintet, Nassau County Boys and Girls Club and The Royal Amelia Dance Academy entertained a record crowd. WJXT Morning Anchor Bruce Hamilton served as the Master of Ceremonies assisted by hotel General Manager James E. McManemon and State Senator Aaron Bean. Santa led the count down to the tree lighting that culminated with a spectacular fireworks show and cascading snowflakes.

The hotel’s Community Footprint program hosts the annual event to raise funds for the McArthur Family YMCA’s Financial Assistance Program and raised over $8,000 to be used for summer programming dedicated to preventing “summer brain drain.” To make a donation to the YMCA call 904-261-1080.
