ATLANTA, GA – September 27, 2016 – Visiting The Ritz-Carlton, Buckhead throughout the holiday season has become a beloved, time-honored tradition for Atlanta residents and guests who have celebrated together for over three decades. This holiday season, the hotel will offer festive events from Thanksgiving through New Year’s Day. Then, beginning in February 2017, The Ritz-Carlton, Buckhead will begin a transformation of the restaurant and lounge debuting an inspiring restaurant and bar concept and event venue in late Summer 2017.
“The Ritz-Carlton, Buckhead has a long-standing tradition of creating enchanting experiences for our guests during the holidays,” said general manager, Erwin Schinnerl. “The upcoming transformation marks the beginning of a remarkable new era at the hotel. Guests will have the opportunity to experience the hotel’s beloved holiday brunches and events before we begin our next chapter.”
To begin the 2016 season, the hotel will magically transform into a winter wonderland the morning after Thanksgiving. Guests will awaken on Friday, November 25, surrounded by elaborate décor throughout the entire hotel. Christmas trees, floral arrangements, custom wreaths, a children’s letter writing station to Santa, an alpine train scene, and a large Advent calendar created by the hotel’s pastry chef will help countdown the days until Christmas.

Holiday Entertainment: Throughout the week, guests of The Ritz-Carlton, Buckhead will be regaled with entertainment in the first floor lobby area, where talented musicians and carolers enliven the holiday spirit. A life-sized Advent calendar created by the hotel’s pastry chef, Troman Felizmenio, will offer treats for 24 days. Daily from December 1 to December 24.
Tea with Santa: Tea with Santa is a long-standing tradition in the hotel’s Lobby Lounge, allowing guests to fully immerse themselves in the holiday spirit and celebrate the season with their friends and loved ones. Perfect for adults and older children, this formal and traditional holiday tea service features a special visit from Santa, sure to evoke pleasant childhood memories of Christmases past. Musical entertainment and caroling by the Dickens Singers maintains a lighthearted, festive ambience for guests to enjoy throughout the tea service. Daily from November 25 to December 23. Reservations are available at 1:30, 2:30, 3:30 p.m. The cost is $59 per adult, $52 per child, ages five to 12, ages 4 and under are complimentary.
Teddy Bear Tea:Younger children’s favorite teddy bears are invited to tag along as they share in the tradition of afternoon tea. A less-formal tea service provides a magical landscape for children and their families to create lasting holiday memories, while storytellers and the Dickens Singers entertain. Santa makes his annual appearance to ensure all in attendance have their Christmas wishes heard. Children enjoy hot chocolate made by the pastry team, a cookie decorating station, seasonal treats and a keepsake holiday teddy bear that will be treasured for years to come. November 27, December 4, 11, 18, 19 20, 21, 22 and 23, with reservations at 11:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. The cost is $59 per adult, $52 per child, ages five to 12.
Holiday Brunch: Festive Sunday Brunch displays are offered throughout December, providing the perfect outlet for friends and family to gather, celebrate and reminisce. December 4, 11, and 18, with reservations from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The cost is $75 per adult, $37.50 per child, ages five-12.
Santa Tuck-In: For families spending the night at The Ritz-Carlton, Buckhead, Saint Nicholas himself makes a personal appearance. Children will be thrilled to greet Santa at the door and discuss their wish lists as he tucks them in before bedtime. December 2, 3, 9, 10, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22 and 23 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. and December 24 from 7:10-8:30 p.m. The cost is $60 per child, $20 each additional child.
Christmas Eve Dinner:The most elegant Christmas Eve celebration in the city is a welcome precursor for all who await the jubilant day ahead. An a la carte menu complete with lighter fare and holiday favorites is available for guests spending the holiday in The Café. Saturday, December 24, with reservations highly recommended from 6 to 10 p.m.
Christmas Day Brunch:Celebrate this joyous holiday with a brunch service featuring seasonal décor, live musical entertainment, caroling by the Dickens Singers and a special, post-delivery appearance by Santa. The culinary display features more than 100 brunch selections specially curated by The Ritz-Carlton, Buckhead’s premier culinary team to provide something for everyone to enjoy. A separate buffet complete with childhood favorites is available for those who made the nice list. Sunday, December 25, with reservations from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. The cost is $125 per adult, $69 per child, ages five to 12.
New Year’s Eve:Ringing in the New Year has never been more glamourous. With entertainment by Nick Longo and his band in the Lobby Lounge, guests enjoy a classic Atlanta New Year’s Eve celebration. The night begins with live music and dancing, and concludes with a lively champagne toast and party favors as the clock strikes midnight. An à la carte menu is available for guests welcoming 2017 in The Café. Saturday, December 31. No reservations required in the Lobby Lounge $25 cover charge per person, waived for those who have dinner in The Café. Reservations required in The Café beginning at 8 p.m. The cost is $115 for prix-fixe menu, adults only after 8 p.m.
New Year’s Day:Guests who danced the night away welcoming the New Year may enjoy extended and enhanced breakfast and brunch buffets on Sunday, January 1 from 10:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The cost is $99 per adult and $50 per child, ages five to 12.
