BUCKHEAD, Ga. –October 4, 2016 – Beginning in October at The Ritz-Carlton, Buckhead, aspiring young pâtissiers are invited to fulfill their culinary dreams with the Petite Pastry Chef experience. Offered exclusively on the first Saturday morning of each month, one child per month will have the opportunity to work side by side with pastry chef, Troman Felizmenio, who has previously served as Executive Pastry Chef at The Ritz-Carlton, Moscow, The Ritz-Carlton, Sanya and The Ritz-Carlton San Juan, Puerto Rico.
“The Petite Pastry Chef experience will give our youngest guests a behind-the-scenes look at everyone’s favorite part of the meal, dessert,” said Felizmenio. “I am looking forward to the opportunity to teach and encourage aspiring chefs to follow their dreams in the same way my mentors have done for me.”
The Petite Pastry Chef experience is available for children, ages seven to 14 and includes a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to attend a two-hour pastry class in the hotel’s kitchen with Chef Troman. Children attending the class will receive a personalized chef’s jacket to wear as they recreate some of the hotel’s signature sweets. When the sifting, stirring and sprinkling is complete, the young pastry connoisseur will join their parents for lunch and dessert in The Café where they will present their masterpieces for all to enjoy.
The pastry experience will be offered on the first Saturday of each month from October 2016 through August 2017 on the following dates: November 5, December 3, January 7, February 4, March 4, April 1,
May 6, June 3, July 1 and August 5. The weekend experience includes overnight accommodations in an executive suite on the Friday evening prior with Club Lounge access for families. Daily delights on the Club Level include personalized services, along with complimentary hors d’oeuvres, beverages, snacks and sweets.
The Petite Pastry Chef experience starts at $1,299 and reservations are available by phone only. To reserve the Petite Pastry Chef experience, please call Andrew Zion at 404.348.5650. One reservation is available per month through August 2017 and must be booked one week in advance. Each pastry experience allows access for one child though siblings can be included for an additional charge.
