Your guide for exploring winter activities on Lake Oconee

Our Two and Three-Bedroom Lakeside Cottages are the perfect accommodations for your girls’ weekend. With a living room, fireplace, small kitchen, private porches overlooking the lake and your own hammock, you won’t want to leave.  

Day 1

Morning

Start your morning off at our 24-hour Fitness Center. A quick workout is a great way to get ready for a full day at The Spa.

Before you indulge in a Spa day, stop by Georgia’s for The Honest Start option and a Peach Bellini.

Afternoon

Relax with a full body treatment, The Georgian, a true Southern experience. This Vichy Rain treatment highlights a few signature items Georgia is known for, like the sweet tea body exfoliation, red clay and magnolia infused oils.

End your day on the Spa’s terrace overlooking the herb garden while sipping the Green Madness Smoothie. You can create this smoothie at home with 1 cup soy or almond milk, one peeled banana, ½ of an avocado, 1½  cups of spinach and 1 tablespoon of protein powder.

Dinner

Georgia’s is the perfect backdrop for an unforgettable evening filled with breathtaking views of the setting sun. This Farm to Fork restaurant incorporates Southern inspiration, fresh herbs from the garden and local ingredients from surrounding farms.

Day 2

Morning

Cottage guests have the luxury of freshly baked goods and a hot pot of coffee delivered to their door. Complimentary, of course. Enjoy the start of the day with a book while overlooking hole number 18 on the Oconee Course.

Throughout the weekend, chat with the girls while hitting the five miles of hiking or biking trails. If you prefer to be inside, join us for one of our complimentary daily fitness classes. From gentle yoga to strength, balance and core, our classes will help you continue you fitness routine away from home.  

Lunch

Gaby’s by the Lake provides a relaxed atmosphere with panoramic view of the lake. Guests must try the resort favorite such as the Main Lobster Grilled Cheese and our hand-crafted cocktails, like the 50 Steeps of Grey or the Shrub-a-Dub. 

Afternoon

Retreat back to The Spa for an afternoon of unscheduled pampering. Start off by taking a few laps in our indoor lap pool followed by some R&R in the Ladies Lounge. Our Spa Director suggests taking 10 minutes in the steam room to help rid your body of toxins then take a three minute cold plunge. This is great process to help muscles heal. End your afternoon in the relaxation lounge with fresh infused spa water and a good book or magazine.

Dinner

If you don’t feel like leaving your Cottage for dinner, let our culinary team bring dinner to you. With our BBQ Butler experiences, guests get to pick from several menu options and have brought to your doorstep for convenience.  Or, get dressed up and head over to Linger Longer Steakhouse for a culinary experience.  

On Saturday nights music fills the Lobby Lounge with live entertainment. Gather around the fireplace and listen to local artists while sampling a few libations.  

The weekend would not be complete without roasting s’mores over the campfire underneath the starry sky each night at 8 p.m.
