The Merry Stage is Set at the Luxury Georgia Hotel with Activities Including Santa Visits,

GREENSBORO, Ga. – October 25, 2016The Ritz-Carlton, Reynolds Lake Oconee will offer winter warmth and decadent tidings for guests as magical activities and decorations light up the hotel and its surroundings this holiday season. Surprises are in store for both children and adults as the AAA, Five Diamond resort decks the halls, ensuring each experience is merry and bright.

Holiday Events and Traditions
From ice skating to seasonal treats and train rides, The Ritz-Carlton Reynolds, Lake Oconee will provide guests with a variety of festive experiences and memories to last a lifetime. Holiday delights include:

  • Lighting at the Lake
    Wednesday, November 23, 2016, at 6 p.m.

    Make plans to officially kick off the holiday season with the resort’s annual Lighting at the Lake event. Live entertainment local artists Rodeo and Juliet will complement guests’ picturesque surroundings as they enjoy a laid-back evening by the water.

  • Ice Skating
    November 23, 2016, through January 2, 2017
    Daily from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 4 to 8 p.m.

    For the sixth consecutive year, the magnificent 6,000-square-foot ice rink at the Pavilion will open for the season on Wednesday, November 23. The ice skating experience is included with the Resort Fee or with purchases of the Family Memories package. The non-resort guest price is $20 for children 12 and under and $30 for adults.

  • Gingerbread House
    November 15 through December 30, 2016

    Pastry chef David Campbell and his team of culinary professionals will turn a holiday fantasy into reality, crafting a one-of-a-kind, life-sized gingerbread house in the hotel’s main lobby. This holiday treat, made with gingerbread, 180 pounds of candy and 480 pounds of icing, will be on display in the lobby for guests’ to gather around throughout the holidays.

  • Breakfast with Santa
    Saturday, November 26, and Saturday, December 17, 2016
    Reservations available from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

    Santa Claus will join guests for festive breakfasts during the holiday season, delighting children with the opportunity to share their wish lists with him personally. Young diners will enjoy a special breakfast buffet featuring miniature pancakes, muffins, waffles and other child-friendly dishes. Families will also receive one complimentary 5-by-7 photo with Santa. The price is $48 for adults, and $28 for children ages four through 12. Please call 706.467.7059 to secure a reservation.

  • Gingerbread Workshop
    November 26 and December 3, 10 and 17, 2016
    2 to 4 p.m.

    Mrs. Claus and her elves will lead a one-of-a-kind gingerbread house workshop, perfect for guests looking to immerse themselves in the holiday spirit. Workshop guests will enjoy tasty holiday treats including cookies, hot chocolate and spiced cider as they construct their masterpiece and Mrs. Claus will supply the tasty foundations, candy, icing and boxes for guests to take their creation home. Each station is designed for one to two people to decorate and the cost to participate is $65 per house. This workshop is offered by reservation only; please dial 706-467-7059 to reserve a session.

  • Linger Longer Holiday Express
    December 22 through December 28

    All-aboard the Linger Longer Holiday Express! There is no better way to take in all the sights on the festively-decorated resort grounds. Rides take place daily at 10 a.m. and      3 p.m. and are complimentary.

  • Story Time with Mrs. Claus and Special Guests
    November 26 and December 3, 10 and 17, 2016
    1 p.m.

    The most lovable lady of the season will charm little ones with classic Christmas tales throughout the holidays. Santa’s helpers will drop in to deliver sweet surprises during story time. No reservations required.

  • New Year’s Eve Celebration
    Saturday, December 31, 2016

    Count down to 2017 with the New Year’s Eve Celebration at                                           The Ritz-Carlton Reynolds, Lake Oconee. Dance the night away with live musical entertainment from the Drive Time Band from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. in the Ballroom. Enjoy complimentary passed hors d’oeuvres and a cash bar serving up cocktail favorites throughout the evening. Guests will also enjoy a festive, complimentary champagne toast at the stroke of midnight to ring in the New Year. Resort-casual wear is suggested and the celebration is complimentary for hotel guests.

Spa Specialties
Guests of the Spa at The Ritz-Carlton Reynolds, Lake Oconee will find themselves savoring the aromas of the season through two festive additions to the spa menu.

  • Those who find their skin dehydrated from the harsh winter weather will benefit from the brandy pear sea salt body scrub, performed in the spa’s luxurious Vichy shower room. The fragrant, hydrating scrub, created with fine grain sea salt and rice bran oil, will leave skin soft and glistening. 50-minute treatment; $175

  • Visions of sugar plums are brought to life with the sugar plum revitalizing facial, making the holiday wish for clear, glowing skin a reality.
