Luxury Georgia Hotel Celebrates Autumn with Family Fun Activities and Delectable Spa Treatments

GREENSBORO, Ga. – September 29, 2016The Ritz-Carlton Reynolds, Lake Oconee will offer an abundant season of autumn delights for guests with the return of the Great Pumpkin Festival, Nature November programs and fall-inspired spa services. Each offering is carefully crafted to create picturesque memories for family adventures, romantic getaways and group outings throughout the season, evoking the spirit of adventure by day and a warm and cozy seasonal atmosphere by night.

Fall festivities at The Ritz-Carlton, Reynolds Lake Oconee will include:

  • The Great Pumpkin Festival
    Each Saturday in October, guests will enjoy family-friendly painting classes, pumpkin carving and a customizable candy apple station to fully savor the transition to fall. In the evenings, guests are invited to take a Happy Haunted Hay Ride made even spookier by the vintage tractor driver’s collection of legendary tales. As the sun sets, guests will gather by the lake to listen to ghost stories and conclude the night with s’mores, stargazing and songs around the campfire. October 1, 8, 15, 22 and 29; activities will begin at 11 a.m. and conclude by the campfire at 8 p.m. (Hay rides begin October 8.)

    In addition to the weekend events, children are encouraged to embark on a fun-filled fall scavenger hunt courtesy of the Ritz Kids Concierge program each weekday. Guests of all ages will have the opportunity to try their luck at a candy corn guessing game and take “spook-tacular” rides on the festively-decorated Linger Longer Express. Each day in October; rides on the Linger Longer Express will take place at promptly 10 a.m. and 3 p.m.
  • Halloween Happenings
    During the Great Pumpkin Festival, guests dressed in costumes both spooky and stylish are invited to take part in a lively costume parade followed by trick-or-treating on the Linger Longer Express. The evening will end with a festive poolside movie screening featuring a Halloween favorite for all to enjoy. Saturday, October 29; costume parade will take place at 5 p.m. and the movie will begin at 7:30 p.m.
  • Nature November
    The Ritz-Carlton Reynolds, Lake Oconee is a luxurious escape for those who enjoy the outdoors. Throughout the month of November, guests are invited to express their creativity with a series of art classes and embark on an autumn adventure with guided “Legends of the Lake” paddle tours. The Ritz Kids program will entertain young guests throughout the day with themed fun hours, highlights of which include Energy Adventure outdoor experiments and the Leave Your Trace program, where children will hear intriguing legends of the Creek tribes found along Lake Oconee and return home with personalized crafting kits. Each Saturday in November; programming will begin at 11 a.m. The cost of the guided lake paddle tours is $75 per person for groups of up to 10.
  • Exclusive Spa Treatments
    A peaceful escape at the spa awaits guests looking to maximize rest and relaxation during a fall getaway. Additions to the spa menu will enhance guests’ experience with flavors that embody the essence of autumn as they supplement the skin and nails. A vitamin-rich cranberry pomegranate sugar scrub will exfoliate and enhance the appearance of skin, followed by a nourishing oil application, back massage and Vichy shower. The s’mores softening pedicure will combat even the driest skin with a softening chocolate mask, complemented by hydrating marshmallow butter, to pamper the feet and prepare guests for an enchanting evening by the fire.
