Indoor-outdoor venues—including a new lakeside locale and rustic-chic barn—create a natural style at this lakeside hideaway

GREENSBORO, GA (October 3, 2017) – Leave it to The Ritz-Carlton Reynolds, Lake Oconee, to elevate rustic weddings to new heights with a bold new venue, The Pavilion, evoking country charm alongside elevated luxury when it opens Spring 2018. It’s part of the next-level offerings at this woodsy enclave where wedding festivities are steeped in natural wonder.

Set along 30 acres of pristine Lake Oconee shoreline dotted with Georgia pines, nuptial choices abound for rehearsal dinners and receptions—be it grand or intimate. Since its inception, The Ritz-Carlton Reynolds, Lake Oconee continues to refine its rustically sophisticated footprint with multi-faceted indoor/outdoor settings from the sprawling lawn of The Landing, the casual, romantic elegance of The Forest, the breezy charm of the restored 1820’s wood-beam Sandy Creek Barn and The Pointe, an alfresco lakeside setting debuting in November. Meanwhile, in the great indoors, there are three stunning ballrooms for 100 to 600 guests.

When it debuts in Spring 2018, The Pavilion might take the cake: The high-designed venue provides a less-formal atmosphere, while the breezy interior is aglow from custom iron-made chandeliers and sconces, transform the mood from day to night. The Pavilion is nestled among lush azaleas, mountain laurel and rhododendron gardens with sliding barn doors creating a larger-than-life entrance for the bridal party.

“Having this many venues ensures no wedding is ever alike, and that’s precisely the point,” said Wedding Specialist, Robin Kreitner. “Our planners tailor every wedding to reflect each couple’s personal style and we constantly reimagine the spaces.”

Take, for example, the chandeliers bedecking Georgia pines in The Forest or cozy outdoor lounge settees at Sandy Creek Barn, radiating vintage glamour. The verdant spaces are also used for festivities like lawn games and cocktails in The Forest, evening canoe rides, fireside s’mores or an interactive experience with clay shooting at the Sandy Creek Sporting Grounds coming early 2018. Clearly, the photo opportunities are endless.

On the culinary front, there’s locally sourced, plated dinner, a Southern-inspired BBQ feast and ever-whimsical options like cotton candy, bounty-to-bar cocktails, curated food and drink pairings, and more.

Once inside, the Grand Ballroom boasts an airy foyer and outdoor balcony, ideal for cocktail hour; The Linger Longer Ballroom, located in the Oconee Clubhouse overlooking the rolling greens of The Oconee Golf Course, can accommodate a standing reception for 250 people or a seated banquet for 150; The Reynolds Ballroom is ideal for intimate weddings for up to 100 people, or can be divided in two.

The Ritz-Carlton Reynolds, Lake Oconee is ideal for all-inclusive wedding experiences, as guests and bridal party both have options to relax – or get excited before and after the big day in the expansive 27,600 sq. ft. spa receiving an array of spa treatments as well as hair, makeup and nail services.
