Berlin, 19 November 2015 – The unique bar Fragrances at The Ritz-Carlton, Berlin presents its new bar menu: 30 new cocktails invite guests to take a culinary trip to the world of aromas. The special feature of the drinks: All cocktails have been inspired by famous perfumes such as Vendemmia by Salvatore Ferragamo, Nuit D’Issey by Issey Miyake or Voyou by Guerlain.

In June 2014, Fragrances was the first bar to be opened worldwide, which serves the unique cocktail creations inspired by exclusive perfumes. With the new bar menu, the unique concept has been perfected. On entering Fragrances, guests find themselves in an interactive Hall of Fame and can discover their favourite drink using all their senses on the basis of the matching fragrance and its individual components. The drinks are served in unusual vessels that match the aromas, such as an oversized strawberry with cotton candy, which guests can make themselves if they like. “It is especially important to us that our guests’ visit at Fragrances is fun. Here, they can experience the world of cocktails and fragrances with all their senses, exchange ideas and take new experiences and memories home with them,” is how bar manager Arnd Heißen explains the innovative concept of the bar.

The bases for the 30 new drinks are high-quality and rare spirits, such as Brazilian Leblon Cachaҫa, Japanese Tantakatan Shochu and Amabuki sake, which Arnd Heißen has discovered on his numerous trips around the world. A special treat are also the fine fruit brandies of Stählemühle from southern Germany, which, according to Gault Millau, is one of the best distilleries in the world. Several cocktails, like Shalimar by Guerlain and 030 by Frau Tonis Parfum, are based on the multi-award-winning products of the exclusive German fruit distillery.

Fragrances at The Ritz-Carlton, Berlin is open from Wednesday to Saturday from 6 pm. For guests who wish to delve deeper into the world of fragrances and aromas, The Ritz-Carlton, Berlin offers a special “Luxury Perfume Weekend” in cooperation with the Berlin perfume manufacturer FRAU TONIS PARFUM.
