NEW YORK – June 19, 2017 – Perched on top of a cliff where the valley meets the Ayung River, Mandapa, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve unveils a new happy hour experience, Mandapa Arak Sandhikala, featuring hand-crafted cocktails by its expert team of mixologists.
Designed to pay homage to ancient Balinese traditions, Mandapa Arak Sandhikala, which means “Mandapa Dusk,” welcomes guest to enjoy this special time in between the afternoon and evening and build connections with others over flavorful beverages. Visitors and locals alike are invited to gather as a Sekeha or “group” and enjoy the native Balinese liquor, Arak, served over sunset at the resort’s elegant yet relaxed lounge, The Library.
Each of the five arak cocktails are thoughtfully infused with local herbs and fruit by one of Mandapa’s five mixologists, Bawa; Oka; Tri Sucipta; Krisna and Abimanyu. The inspired cocktail menu includes a selection of house specialty drinks named after the bartenders who created the libation, such as Bloody Bawa with tomato, sambal, lemon and lemongrass-chili infusion; Wedang by Oka with chocolate, coconut, Frangelico, coffee-vanilla infusion; Tris Exotica a dry tropical martini with rosella, ginger salak, lemon, salak-ginger infusion; the herbal Magic of Krishna infused with Earl Grey and ginger, as well as turmeric, and lemon; a green Peaceful Abbi mixed with spinach, muddled mint and a cucumber-citrus infusion.
Mandapa Arak Sandhikala is offered from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. daily at The Library at Mandapa, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve. Specials include IDR 130 hand-crafted cocktails.
