Translating to “Indonesian Exploration,” the new offering adds a compelling new layer to the Mandapa experience by connecting guests to the rich biodiversity and unique flavors of the destination in an interactive, immersive setting.
Held nightly from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. in the resort’s stunning open-air lounge, The Library, the Jelajah Indonesia experience begins as the sun sets over Ubud. Guests are greeted with a detailed map showcasing the Indonesian archipelago and nine hand-crafted cocktails inspired by unique flavors and ingredients from each featured island. The resort’s expert mixologists then guide guests through a bespoke tasting experience, illuminating the cultural significance, health benefits, and other unique facts about each cocktail’s core ingredient. From the spicy Andaliman pepper of the western Sumatra Island to the to the sweet Balinese jackfruit, the flavor palette and presentation of each cocktail is expertly curated.
Going beyond the typical happy hour to share a story and inspire lasting memories, the Jelajah Indonesia menu includes drinks such as Nangka Bali with Balinese jackfruit, a rich antioxidant, homemade pandan syrup, amaretto, and cachaça; Sirsak Flores created with the tropical and Vitamin C-rich soursop fruit, star anise, sambuca,and gin; Celebes Coffee infused with Toraja coffee from south Sulawesi, Indonesia, homemade spice syrup, and vodka; and Pinang Papua with Martini Rosso, rum, infused with Papua’s pinang seed and betel leaf.
