Celebrated Chef from World-Renowned elBulli Restaurant to
Conduct a Culinary Tour in Asia in Collaboration with The Ritz-Carlton

NEW YORK, NY. (February 16, 2015) – Celebrated chef Alain Devahive of the infamous three-Michelin-Starred Spanish restaurant, elBulli, is embarking on a food tour with The Ritz-Carlton properties in Asia, beginning in Singapore and Hong Kong, then Kyoto, Osaka, Tokyo before visiting the Ritz-Carlton hotels in Shanghai, Beijing and Tianjin. Chef Alain will visit The Ritz-Carlton, Kyoto on March 8, 2015 and play host to a culinary food fair experience guests and foodies can feast their eyes and palates on.

During his visit, Chef Alain is sure to wow diners at The Ritz-Carlton, Kyoto’s Italian restaurant, La Locanda, with his ever-popular and visually-attractive works of delicious art. Featuring a sublime modern style, La Locanda is an Italian restaurant that utilizes traditional cooking style with the finest quality ingredients from around the world.

Chef Alain was first recognized as the right-hand man of Ferran Adrià i Acosta, the star chef of elBulli, during his ten years with the restaurant. Now, as the owner and chef of Catalunya, which has ignited the boom of Spanish cuisine in Singapore and Hong Kong, Chef Alain is a well-deserved star chef in his own right.

Born in Barcelona, Chef Alain fuses Spanish culture and traditional Catalan cuisine to create works of art for the discerning palate. Chef Alain integrates rich traditions with contemporary techniques such as molecular gastronomy to make his own new and innovative cuisine.
