Letter Writing to Santa December 19 – 24, 2015 – Lobby Leave a note in the magical mailbox and we’ll make sure Santa receives it right away! Kids are invited to stop by the Letter to Santa desk and send Santa a note with why they should be on the nice list. Or if they’ve already written their letter, kids can leave Santa a quick note with their room number so he knows where to find them Christmas morning.
Holiday Hula Lessons December 21, 22, 27 and 29, 2015 from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. – Candy Cane Lane Activity Room Learn this unique Hawaiian dance and how it preserves and perpetuates the stories, traditions and culture of Hawaii. Hula instructors will teach a traditional hula along with a holiday-themed hula in celebration of the season.
Sand Snowman Building Contest Dates/Time TBD – D.T. Fleming Beach The Ritz-Carlton, Kapalua’s exclusive Sand Sculpture Contest is a chance for families to use their creativity, have fun, enjoy the sun and create a holiday masterpiece out of sand. Each day, the Ambassadors will have a different theme for the sand sculpture from snowmen to the Hawaiian gree turtle, “honu”. Winners will receive special prizes!
Downhill Sledding December 22 – 24, 2015 – Candy Cane Lane The Ritz-Carlton, Kapalua takes the chill out of sledding with a very own Hawaiian-inspired Downhill Sled Run! Begin by decorating a sled and then take it for a run down the specially designed hillside. Prizes will be awarded for creativity, aerodynamics and more.
Nightly Sunset Ceremony with Cookies and Treats December 23, 23, 25, 27 and 31, 2015 at 5:00 p.m. – Lobby Enjoy fresh, house-made cookies and other culinary treats while watching the nightly sunset ceremony, “Aloha eka la... Farewell to the Day”
Christmas Eve Photos with Santa Claus Thursday, December 24, 2015 from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. – Lobby Children of all ages are invited to stop by to be photographed with Santa Claus! Guests will also enjoy festive entertainment including Hawaiian music, traditional hula dancing and a melodic trio.
Children’s New Year’s Countdown Celebrations Thursday, December 31, 2015 - Ambassadors Hale Children 5 and older start their New Year’s Eve night with a fun Keiki Pa’ina (party) dinner buffet at the Ambassadors Hale. After dinner they venture out for a guided night hike followed by a New Year’s Eve celebration with dancing, games, movies, face painting, snacks and sparkling cider with a fun dessert surprise!
