The Ritz-Carlton, Almaty welcomes Mr. Can Göktaş as the new General Manager, responsible for the overall hotel performance and operations. Mr. Göktaş will continue to grow the hotel’s prominent position within the local, regional and international markets.

At The Ritz-Carlton, Almaty, Can Göktaş is responsible for managing hotel operations and maintaining the unparalleled service excellence that is synonymous with The Ritz-Carlton brand, for guests to create indelible memories. His main focus will be further development of the hotel.

Can Göktaş has extensive experience working in hospitality. He began his career in the hotel business in 1996 immediately after graduating from the Bosporus University with a degree in tourism and hotel management. Before joining The Ritz-Carlton, Istanbul in 2015, which he headed for more than two years, Mr. Göktaş held the position of Regional Sales Director at Kempinski Hotels for Turkey and South Europe. During his time at Kempinski Hotels, he was recognized with the CEO Award in 2013 for his contribution to the company’s development. In 2012 he won the Best Sales Award for securing the highest profit. Can Göktaş played a significant role in the opening of The Ritz-Carlton, Istanbul in 2001, where he worked as Sales and Marketing Director for a total of 9 years.

Mr. Göktaş obtained an MBA from the NEOMA Business School in Paris in 2014, where he specialized in luxury brand marketing.
