Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia – June 28, 2017 – In the spirit of the holy month of Ramadhan, The Ritz-Carlton, Kuala Lumpur hosted 38 children from Pertubuhan Kebajikan Al-Firdausi for a festive banquet to celebrate the end of Ramadhan and Raya Aidilfitri.

Organised annually as part of the hotel’s Community Footprints programme, the children from Pertubuhan Kebajikan Al-Firdausi are comprised of orphans, children of single parents and underprivileged homes. Dressed smartly in brightly-coloured Baju Melayu and Baju Kurung, the children between the ages of five and 17 were all in high spirits as they enjoyed the sumptuous spread of local specialties and delicacies.

“We are grateful for the opportunity to be able to host these children in our hotel. Most of them come from underprivileged homes, and while it is a small gesture from us, it does bring so much joy to them. To witness such happiness on their faces is truly a blessing”, said Mr Mahmoud Skaf, Area General Manager.

Mr Skaf also presented Duit Raya and gift bags to the children at the end of the evening, along with a token of appreciation to the guardians. The children spent an enjoyable evening with good food, a cartoon movie showing and also mingled with the Ladies and Gentlemen of the hotel who were present to spend time with the kids.
