Chef to lead kitchen of oceanfront restaurant at The Ritz-Carlton, Bal Harbour

MIAMI, FL – February 28, 2018 –Supremely dedicated to Miami’s diversity and fusion of cultures, it’s only natural that Chef Luis Quant be named chef de cuisine at Artisan Beach House, an oceanfront restaurant with a menu that is committed to dishes with a global influence. With a passion for urban farming and fishing, Chef Quant will also continue to enliven the restaurant’s mission of using fresh, locally-sourced ingredients, offering diners the best of what Miami and the surrounding area has to offer.

Chef Quant’s love for cooking and local ingredients is practically as old as the man himself, stemming from a childhood spent on his grandparents’ farm, milking cows for milk and cheese, peeling corn to make fresh tortillas and fishing along Nicaragua’s western shore. These impactful early days influence his cooking to this day, and diners can look forward to tasting these memories in the dishes at Artisan Beach House.

No stranger to The Ritz-Carlton standards of service and product excellence, Chef Quant most recently served as chef de cuisine at The Ritz-Carlton, South Beach. Prior to joining The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, Chef Quant worked in a number of restaurants in South Florida, including Bulla Gastrobar, where he served as executive chef and transitioned the restaurant from Por Fin. Chef Luis holds a culinary degree from Johnson & Wales University in Florida.
