MIAMI, Fla. – May 2, 2016The Ritz-Carlton Key Biscayne, Miami launches a new Baby Gender Reveal Party Package with the new Executive Pastry Chef, Levi Richard as the creative mind behind it all.

BABY GENDER REVEAL PARTY PACKAGE
Many love to celebrate each and every occasion, with one of the most important being the celebration of a new baby. While for decades, baby showers have been one of the most popular ways to celebrate the birth of a child, a new trend has emerged: Baby Gender Reveal Parties. Long are the days of finding out the sex of a baby in a doctor’s office, as many couples are opting to celebrate finding out the gender of the baby with close friends and family on a separate occasion. The couple requests that the doctor’s office releases the gender of the baby to a close relative or confidant. From there, the suspense begins. With friends and family picking the gender they think the baby will be, the festive celebration reveals the sex of the baby, most commonly by revealing the color of a dessert. ABOUT EXECUTIVE PASTRY CHEF LEVI RICHARD
With over nine years of experience within The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, Chef Levi Richard joins The Ritz-Carlton Key Biscayne, Miami as the resort’s Executive Pastry Chef, overseeing all of the sweet treats served throughout the resort. A California native, Levi graduated from the prestigious Le Cordon Blue College of Culinary Arts in Pasadena. He began his career at The Ritz-Carlton Laguna Niguel in 2002. Shortly after The Ritz-Carlton, New Orleans re-opened in 2007, Richard began his new journey as Assistant Pastry Chef. His next stop included The Ritz-Carlton, Tyson’s Corner as Head Pastry Chef where he lead his team in creating personalized pastries for the variety of restaurants throughout the hotel, including being the creative mastermind for all wedding cakes and social celebration desserts.

As a child, Levi grew up cooking with his family whom expressed their love for one another through food. Falling in love with cooking at such an early age taught Levi how to cook with passion and soul. His inspiration comes from his surroundings including artifacts from museums, buildings, several social media accounts and the city that he lives in.

When Levi is not cooking in the kitchen, he is exploring the city of Miami by walking or biking and visiting different restaurants, museums and neighborhoods. Chef Levi pushes the envelope with innovative designs and flavors that are sophisticated and refined, yet approachable.
