The Ritz-Carlton, Bahrain held Mr. Christian Zandonella’s farewell and introduced the newly appointed General Manager, Mr. Jean-Paul Dantil

MANAMA, Bahrain – February, 7th, 2017 – In honor of Mr. Christian Zandonella, a farewell reception was held on January 30th 2017 at Al Khayma in The Ritz-Carlton, Bahrain.  

The farewell reception was held to honor the abundant milestones and achievements of Mr. Christian Zandonella. Over the course of two years, in his leadership role, Christian’s drive for innovation and guest commitment had inspired an exceptional level of visitor engagement and embraced the brand values in creating loyal customers. Some of Mr. Zandonella’s major achievement includes the re-launch of the Italian restaurant, Primavera in 2014 in partnership with Michelin Star Chef Oliver Glowig, the execution of The Ritz-Carlton’s new brand voice and recently the successful launch of Cantina Kahlo and Kahlo Club in October 2016. This is not a complete departure from the Ritz-Carlton family for Mr. Zandonella, as he is transitioning to become the General Manager of The Ritz-Carlton, Vienna.

On the same occasion, the newly appointed General Manager, Mr. Jean-Paul Dantil, was welcomed to The Ritz-Carlton, Bahrain in a traditional key handover ceremony.

Mr. Jean-Paul Dantil, General Manager commented on the occasion, “I am thrilled to join The Ritz-Carlton, Bahrain and humbled by the warm welcome received from our valuable partners, guests and Ladies and Gentlemen. The Ritz-Carlton, Bahrain is a remarkable property that I grew to admire and love during my previous stays such a guest, for its business and leisure travel offerings, beautiful outdoor landscape, fine art and culinary offerings. I look forward to working closely with the international Hotel Company in driving the top of the Kingdom’s hospitality scene.”

Mr. Dantil is joining The Ritz-Carlton Bahrain from The Ritz-Carlton, Vienna, where he served as the General Manager for two and half years . He is a German national who grew up in Switzerland.  He graduated from the Centre International de Glion and enjoys a solid career in top luxury brands in Europe, Asia, the Caribbean’s and the Middle East. Prior to joining The Ritz-Carlton, Mr. Dantil opened the famous DAS Stue hotel in Germany; now known as one of the best luxury hotels in Germany.
