Registration opens for The Ritz-Carlton, Naples’ 2016 Summer Camp

NAPLES, Fla. – April 2016 – Parents looking for an educational, interactive summer camp experience for their school-aged children can look to The Ritz-Carlton, Naples’ Ritz Kids Nature’s Wonders 2016 Summer Camp program, now open for registration. Local children, ages 5 through 12, can take part in the environmentally focused daytime program, which will actively engage their bodies and minds with a multitude of nature-based activities. While summer camp options may overwhelm parents this spring, the Nature’s Wonders Summer Camp is an easy solution for parents looking to provide their children with a meaningful, memorable summer day camp experience—close to home.

Nature’s Wonders features immersive adventures to provide young guests with hands-on experiences to connect them with nature and the local environment. The facility—filled with hands-on eco exhibits, 11 aquariums with living creatures, and a kid-size science lab – is American Camp Association®-accredited and led by an onsite resort conservationist. Ritz Kids Nature’s Wonders is designed to promote awareness, respect and conservation of Florida’s natural beauty and environment, while also providing an understanding of how to live more sustainably.

From 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday, summer camp attendees will enjoy a variety of eco-friendly activities such as “Feeding Frenzy,” where they will assist in feeding and learning about the eating habits of many creatures in Nature’s Wonders, and “Nature Detective,” where campers’ will explore the property to learn about fascinating creatures such as lizards, egrets, herons and turtles. Camp attendees will also have the opportunity to play games and swim at the resort. Lunch is included and snacks and beverages are served throughout the day.

2016 Summer Camp dates are June 13 – 17, July 11 – 15, and July 18 – 22, 2016.  Cost is $600 per child, per week, plus applicable taxes.
