The Ritz-Carlton, Naples closed on June 25, 2018 and reopened on September 3, 2018. During that time, the resort underwent an extensive restoration of the façade. Additionally, the highly celebrated beach front restaurant, Gumbo Limbo, will undergo a full rejuvenation and all boardwalks leading to the restaurant as well as the beach will be updated and restored. The Ritz-Carlton Spa will be improved in several areas and unveiling a contemporary and coastally inspired design when the resort reopens in September. Renovation of the 10,000 sq. ft. Vanderbilt Ballroom will also take place completing the final phase of reimagined meeting space at the resort. Finally, a number of operational projects will take place during the resort closure to further enhance and expedite service excellence and efficiency.
The renovation of Gumbo Limbo and the façade restoration will continue in the final phase through the beginning of November. In order to complete the extensive façade project, scaffolding will remain in place and construction teams will be working from approximately 8:00 am to 8:00 pm which will be accompanied with noise related to the on-going projects. Guest room balconies will not be accessible during this time and guest room views will be obstructed. Gumbo Limbo will also remain closed during this time; however modified pathways providing access to the beach and the pool areas will be available. The Spa project will be mostly complete; however, locker rooms and showers are currently unavailable. Guests who choose to enjoy a spa treatment will be able to change in the treatment room prior to their spa service.
