Ritz-Carlton Wedding Specialist: Our amazing Special Event Managers are all experts and are here to help you execute the perfect wedding day as you select your menu and partners for your photography, music, and more. The following is a list of the specific items with which your Special Event Manager will be assisting you.
Recommend Special Event Professionals which may include full-service wedding coordination, lighting, entertainment, floral, custom décor, photography, ceremony officiant and amenities.
Act as a menu consultant for all food and beverage selections.
Detail your Banquet Event Orders and Wedding Resume outlining your entire event.
Create an estimate of charges outlining your financial commitments and final deposit.
Create a diagram of your function space, in order for you to provide seating arrangements.
Establish your guest room block and monitor the status of reservations (if applicable).
Create a time line for your entire wedding day including the ceremony and reception.
Work with you to organize and coordinate your ceremony rehearsal, dependent upon event space availability.
Be the liaison with your family, bridal party, band/DJ, florist, photographer and other vendors to create a seamless operation.
Oversee the ceremony and reception room(s) set-up, food preparation and other internal hotel operations.
Be the on-site liaison between your wedding coordinator (if applicable) and hotel operations ladies and gentlemen.
Ensure the ladies have the corsages and bouquets etc., and assist with the pinning of boutonnieres.
Arrange ceremony programs, escort cards, place cards, favors and any personal items.
Coordinate your actual ceremony (line up bridal party, assist bride with dress.)

The Ritz-Carlton provides all food and beverages, tables and chairs, ivory damask underlay's with white overlays, silverware and glasses, elegant custom menu cards, a dance floor, and staging for your event. The rental of a ceremony location includes chair set-up, and staging. This also includes an on-site Wedding Concierge to greet and welcome your guests, place escort cards, favors, menu cards, and programs.

Can The Ritz-Carlton Wedding Specialist recommend a good minister, photographer, or florist? Your Ritz-Carlton New York, Battery Park Wedding Specialist has access to a wealth of stylists, makeup artists, photographers, florists, designers, and officiants. Your wedding specialist can facilitate and coordinate arrangements with your vendors.
May I use outside vendors? You may use outside vendors for your wedding cake, and flowers, etc.
Are there any guidelines or requirements for using outside vendors? The hotel requires a certificate of insurance as well as a signed vendor agreement that is provided from the hotel.
What kind of music is available? Your personal wedding specialist can help select the perfect musical accompaniment. Choices include a harpist, saxophonists, classical duos or quartets, jazz or salsa bands, or a DJ, which is provided by Hank Lane. The hotel also allows outside entertainment vendors for events. Costs for all options vary.

May I take wedding pictures at The Ritz-Carlton if my wedding is to be held elsewhere? We reserve photography privileges for couples whose weddings or receptions are held at The Ritz-Carlton.
May I take wedding pictures at The Ritz-Carlton? If your wedding reception is held at The Ritz-Carlton you may take photos inside your reception space, guest room, or suite. In order to protect the privacy of our guests, photography is prohibited in all public areas of the hotel, including the lobby. Your Ritz-Carlton wedding specialist can assist you in more detail, including photography in Wagner Park and Battery Park located just steps away from the hotel.
How do I choose the food for my reception? Whether your reception is an intimate dinner or a lavish gathering, we offer a range of cuisines. From hors d’oeuvres and Champagne cocktails to optional stations and gourmet buffets or formal dinners with plated selections and synchronized service. All options are catered. Your wedding specialist will assist you with choosing from our extensive menu. A tasting will be scheduled to help you finalize your choices (for events of 100 people and over).
I /my guests have special dietary needs; what are the options? We are delighted to offer a selection of vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and Kosher cuisines for any dietary need. Please consult with your wedding specialist for more details.
May I bring in an outside caterer? All events at The Ritz-Carlton are catered by our exceptional culinary team. However, you may choose to have your wedding cake prepared by an outside vendor.If an Indian caterer is required the hotel works with Bakhara Grill. What is required by the state of New York and the county New York for a legal wedding ceremony? First you will need to obtain a marriage license. You do not need to make an appointment (except for Staten Island where you need to make an appointment) and you do not need to take a blood test. The prospective wedding couple must appear together in person at one of the borough offices of the City Clerk of New York (sited in the Borough Halls in each borough).
What do I need to know before contacting the hotel? You should know the estimated number of guests, a date, and an approximate budget for your event. If possible, choose a few alternative dates in case your first choice is not available.
How far in advance should I reserve the date? Although The Ritz-Carlton New York, Battery Park often fills the most popular dates as far as two years in advance, other dates are typically available with less notice. Contact the hotel for more information about available dates.
What is the average cost per person for food and beverage for my wedding at The Ritz-Carlton New York, Battery Park? Based on our current banquet menus, you may expect to spend on average, $175-$200 per person for lunch and $235-$325 per person for dinner, both of which are exclusive of service charge and sales tax. These averages include hors d’oeuvres for your welcome reception, three-course plated meal, wine service with the meal with tableside choice of entree, champagne toast and an open, hosted bar for the entire event, based on a 5 hour event. Please be aware that our menu items and pricing are subject to change and are guaranteed 90 days in advance. Your final menu pricing will be based on your actual selections.
What are the deposits based on and when are they due? Deposits are based on 25% of the combined food and beverage minimum, plus the ceremony for the event space reserved. Deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable. Six months prior to your event, 25% of the estimated charges are due. Two months prior to your event, 25% of the estimated charges are due, and the estimated final balance is due fourteen business days prior to your event.
When do I need to tell The Ritz-Carlton exactly how many guests will be attending my wedding? The Hotel requires the final guarantee of attendants to be communicated to the catering office no later than Noon at least three (3) business days prior to the date of your scheduled event. If the guaranteed number is not provided, the billing will be for the greater of the following: (1) The number of persons for which the party was originally booked or (2) The number of persons in attendance. The hotel will prepare and set for five % above the guarantee, if requested.
Do the wedding couple get a complimentary room for the wedding night? The hotel provides a complimentary Statue of Liberty View Suite for the wedding couple on the night of their wedding. The complimentary Statue of Liberty View Suite is offered with a minimum of 100 guests in attendance at the reception.
Are there special room rates for wedding guests? For family and friends of the wedding party, The Ritz-Carlton, Battery Park will be happy to quote preferential rates for the weekend of the event. A block of twenty-five rooms will be held for guests at a preferential rate, per night plus applicable taxes for Deluxe guest rooms.
What local laws affect events at The Ritz-Carlton? Due to New York State law no alcoholic beverage may be served until 12 p.m. on Sundays.
