Under the direction of Sommelier Marika Vida-Arnold, The Ritz-Carlton New York, Central Park offers memorable and rare evenings of luxury food and wine.

Marika has instructed for the American Sommelier Association in New York and the French Wine Society and holds titles of Certified Sommelier with the Court of Master Sommeliers and the American Sommelier Association. She is a Certified Specialist of Wine with the Society of Wine Educators and holds the Advanced Certificate for the Wine and Spirits Education Trust.

Marika’s most recent wine series in Auden Bistro & Bar is the critically acclaimed "Phenomenal Femmes' program, which features female winemakers from around the globe each month. 

The Ritz-Carlton’s wine and chocolate pairing course “Chocolate Takes Flight with Marika Vida” has been another prominent series showcased in Auden Bistro.

For our March Phenomenal Femmes Dinner, we welcome Winemaker for Miner Family Wines, Stacy Vogel.

20 years ago in 1996, The Miner Family Winery brand in Napa Valley is born. Dave Miner, working as President of Oakville Ranch, decides to become a custom crush client and start his own wine label.

Stacy grew up in North Carolina and graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill in 1999. While studying abroad in Spain and learning about the culture, she became interested in wine and food and how integrated they are in the daily life of many societies. After earning her Master’s Degree from the University of California at Davis’ Viticulture and Enology program, she worked harvests in Burgundy and Australia before returning to the Golden State. Stacy was hired on as Assistant Winemaker at Miner Family Winery is 2008, and in 2013 was promoted to Winemaker.

A 4-course dinner will be served with wine pairings by Wine Director Marika Vida-Arnold.  A percentage of all proceeds will benefit the Women’s Shelter at Crossroads Community Services at St. Bart’s church in NYC.
