Enhancements exude a contemporary yet elegant feel for a heightened guest experience

SAN JUAN, P.R. – (JAN. 2016) – The Ritz-Carlton, San Juan today announced the debut of the first phase of a planned multimillion dollar renovation to its lobby lounge and surrounding area. The award-winning oceanfront resort’s vibrant new lobby design is inspired by the modern and elegantly feel of Puerto Rico through a display of gold tones contrasted with watery teal details and sophisticated natural wood furnishings punctuated by elegant hues of white and eclectic arts, all to enhance the comfort and lifestyle experience. The complete redesign and remodeling of the hotel’s lobby lounge and area are currently on track to be completed in March 2016.

The artfully redesigned space displays an artsy sophistication feel from the formerly traditional interiors. “The beautification adds luster to our beloved resort,” said Jacqueline Volkart, general manager for The Ritz-Carlton, San Juan. “The newly space is inviting and has a contemporary feel and relaxed lifestyle feel,” she continued.

The centerpiece of the lobby space is the hotel’s trademark floor-to-ceiling picture window, which lends natural light during the day, delivering picturesque views of the resort’s pool and gardens. Concurrently, the new décor features a masterpiece bar as a lounge focal point. Complementing the renovated space is an adjacent terrace with a variety of al fresco seating space.

StreetSense, an award-winning, international interior design firm, is overseeing the renovation.
