For your convenience, we have compiled answers to common questions you may find helpful in choosing the types of treatment that best meet your individual needs or desires.
 

Spa Policies

Is there a minimum age for treatments and use of the fitness center?
To receive a spa treatment, guests must be at least 18 years old; salon services are offered for younger guests. Minors aged 16-17 may use the fitness center, unaccompanied by a parent or legal guardian, if a consent form is provided at our spa concierge.

Can I use the steam rooms, co-ed sauna and whirlpool?
Steam rooms, co-ed sauna and whirlpool facilities are to be enjoyed by guests that have booked a spa experience. Requests to use the facilities, without booking a treatment, are based upon availability and will have an additional cost of $60 per guest, per day.

What if I am late for my appointment?
Arriving late will simply limit the time for your treatment, thus lessening its effectiveness. Your treatment will end on time so that the next guest will not be delayed. The full value of your treatment will be applied.

What is the cancellation policy?
If you must reschedule or cancel your appointment, please notify us six (6) hours before your scheduled appointment to avoid being charged the full service fee. A credit card number is required at the time you book your treatments.

What about payment for Spa services?
We accept all major credit cards. You may also charge Spa services to your hotel bill. For your convenience, payment is also accepted prior to your treatments, upon request.

What about gratuities?
With your permission, a 20% service charge will be added for each spa service you receive. If services were satisfactory, please feel free to leave additional gratuity which will be distributed to the Spa staff who served you during your visit.

 

Spa Services

Are gift certificates available from the spa?
You may purchase spa gift certificates for a specific dollar amount at our spa concierge desk or online. Spa gift certificates can be used towards services or towards purchases in our Spa Boutique. To purchase a gift certificate online, you may click here.

What are the hours of operation?

  • Spa: Open seven days a week from 9 a.m. – 7 p.m.
  • Fitness Center: Open seven days a week from 5:30 a.m. – 9 p.m.
  • Salon: Open seven days a week from 9 a.m. – 7 p.m.

 

Prior to Arrival

When should I book my spa appointment?
As our treatments are very popular, we highly recommend securing your spa service in advance of your arrival.

How can I make a reservation?
Our dedicated spa concierge is available to schedule your spa experience. Please call (787) 253-1700 extensions 4131 or 4132 for details.

When should I arrive?
For your enhanced comfort and relaxation, we suggest that you arrive 20 minutes before your scheduled treatment. This will allow you to relax in our lounges, saunas, steam rooms and whirlpool.

What about my jewelry and valuables?
If you are staying in the hotel, please leave valuable items in the safe in your guestroom. Otherwise, lockers are available for your personal items in the spa facility.

Should I shave before a treatment?
Shaving is recommended but not necessary for men prior to a facial. If you do choose to shave prior to your facial, be sure to do so at least two (2) hours prior to your scheduled appointment. Shaving is not recommended prior to any body treatments or hair removal services.

Should I shower before my spa service?
For your comfort and relaxation, we recommend that you shower before your spa treatment. 

 

Upon Arrival

What should I wear during my treatment?
Most body treatments are enjoyed without clothing; however, please wear whatever is comfortable for you. During all treatments, the body is fully draped, except for the area being worked on. Before and after your treatment, robes and slippers are provided in lockers located in the men's and women's lounges.

What about my comfort?
This is your time and you should delight in the experience to the fullest. Whether it's the room temperature, the amount of massage pressure or the volume of the music, please notify us of any discomforts or preferences. We request that cell phones and pagers be turned off in the spa.

 

Health Questions

What if I have special health considerations?
Please notify our Spa Concierge, before booking your treatments, if you have high blood pressure, allergies, any other physical ailments or disabilities, or if you are pregnant. If you have any concern at all, please let us know. If at any time during your services you experience discomfort, please alert your therapist immediately.

What if I am pregnant?
While there are a few services that should be avoided during pregnancy, there are many beneficial treatments that can be enjoyed. Please notify our Spa Concierge if you are pregnant when you make your appointments so that they can offer guidance.
