The Ladies and Gentlemen of The Ritz-Carlton, Doha host range of guest activities showcasing the rich traditions of Qatar

Doha, December, 2015 – The Ritz-Carlton, Doha will commemorate Qatar National Day by inviting guests to join them for a range of unique activities, celebrating the traditions of Qatar.

Qatar National Day accentuates the identity and history of the country as it marks the anniversary of Qatar's unification and independence on December 18. The celebrations at The Ritz-Carlton, Doha pay tribute to the people who built the nation while also allowing guests from near and far to learn more about the Qatari culture and history.

“The hotel will be transformed into a sea of national colors, with the Ladies & Gentlemen all ‎donning the national pin and several members in national dress” said Erden Kendigelen, General Manager at The Ritz-Carlton, Doha. “In addition to the city’s great offerings, our hotel will offer a diverse range of activities to best showcase the Qatari spirit and tradition, with our Ladies and Gentleman always on hand to ensure a ‎memorable stay with us,”‎added Mr. Kendigelen.

The hotel will launch the festivities with a cake cutting ceremony on December 17 whilst the Qatar National Anthem is performed live by The Ritz-Carlton, Doha employees. Guests will also be treated to cultural entertainment as well as local cuisine at The Lagoon restaurant. The focal point at the hotel’s lobby will be a display of the traditional boat ‘Dhow’ embracing the tradition and culture of Qatar.

Continuing the celebrations on Qatar National Day (December 18th), all day dining venue The Lagoon will feature an authentic and family friendly Arabian buffet. Enhancing the spirit of togetherness on the most festive day in Qatar, children under the age of four will dine complimentary, while children between the ages of four and twelve will dine at half price.
