SINGAPORE – July 2017 – The Ritz-Carlton, Millenia Singapore has appointed Mark Aldridge as Director of Sales & Marketing, and Jan Wagelaar as Director of Revenue Management.

Mark joins The Ritz-Carlton, Millenia Singapore from the Montage Beverly Hills in Los Angeles, where he served as the Director of Sales & Marketing since 2015, bringing with him a performance-driven sales history and 18 years of international hotel experience.

In his new role as Director of Sales & Marketing, Mark will provide strategic leadership for all Sales, MICE, Catering, Public Relations and Marketing, Conference Services, and Reservations activities.

No stranger to The Ritz-Carlton family, Mark held key appointments at The Ritz-Carlton, San Francisco and The Ritz-Carlton, Denver, from 2011 to 2015, where he led the properties through their record-breaking financial years. He was twice honoured as Sales Leader of the Year, Western USA and for Marketing Achievement, Western USA in 2012 and 2014 respectively. 

Mark’s illustrious career includes a successful tenure as the Opening Director of Sales & Marketing at The Waikiki EDITION in Honolulu, in 2010. It was the first EDITION hotel concept by boutique hotelier Ian Schrager, in partnership with Marriott International. 

Having lived in many countries, Mark developed his passion for food and wine while working with Chef Gordon Ramsay and Iron Chef’s Masaharu Morimoto. Outside of work, he enjoys travel, art, architecture, sailing and exploring new offerings in the dining scene.

Jan Wagelaar

Jan joins The Ritz-Carlton, Millenia Singapore from JW Marriott Marquis Dubai where he most recently served as the Senior Cluster Revenue Manager since 2014, supporting both the hotel and a cluster of nine other properties managed by Marriott International in Dubai. In the last quarter of 2016, Jan was recognised for his stellar performance with the Business Leader Award for the Middle East and Africa by Marriott International. 

Originally from the Netherlands, Jan has extensive revenue management experience within Marriott International. In his new capacity as Director of Revenue Management, he will be responsible for driving key revenue strategies across all segments. A member of the hotel’s Guidance Team, Jan will report to the General Manager.

This being his first posting to Asia, Jan is looking forward to exploring the culture, sights and cuisines of Singapore and the region with his wife, during his downtime. Gracia Tan, the outgoing Director of Revenue Management will make a lateral move to Director of E-Commerce as part of her professional development. She will continue to report to the Director of Sales & Marketing.
