ST. LOUIS, MO. – February 2016 -- The Ritz-Carlton, St. Louis is proud to offer a new kosher catering experience for area residents and event planners, offering Mashgiach supervision and an innovative menu of gourmet kosher cuisine prepared in the hotel’s dedicated kosher kitchen.

With oversight provided by the St. Louis Rabbinical Council and culinary leadership from

Ritz-Carlton, St. Louis’s own Jewish chef Alex Sandroff, The Ritz-Carlton, St. Louis Kosher Events program includes culturally-appropriate ceremonies as well as Vaad-certified, approved menus. Vibrant wedding staging features beautiful locations for the Kabbalat Panim, chuppahs, Ketubah signings, and pre- and post- events for the wedding party.

Bar and Bat Mitzvah celebrations are another specialty of the hotel. The Ritz-Carlton can create one-of-a-kind themes featuring a real-life candy land, interactive sports zones, laser tag and dance parties, carnival themes, arcades and so much more.

In addition to a variety of theme parties, the hotel’s new on-premise kosher kitchen also can cater to business meetings, Shabbat dinners, Temple fundraisers, brunches, family gatherings and special, memorable life moments.

Whatever the occasion, customization is a specialty of The Ritz-Carlton, St. Louis, whose Kosher  Events team is led by wedding professionals Robin Albach and Katie Zvorak, and personal event concierge Ben Inion. Personalized banquet menus can incorporate beloved family recipes as well as orthodox preparations.  For example, one recent St. Louis couple had a family barbecue sauce from Texas flown in and incorporated into their wedding meal. In another case, the hotel prepared a special South African curry from a recipe shared by the mother of the bride. For all kosher events, The Ritz-Carlton, St. Louis is pleased to utilize approved kosher meat, fine china, glassware, silverware, linens, and a professional service staff. Additionally, the hotel has the ability to provide hot food during Shabbat, either plated or buffet-style, and an experienced staff is available for escorting during Shabbos.
