ST. LOUIS, MO. – October 5, 2015 -- The Ritz-Carlton, St. Louis is celebrating the arrival of new General Manager, Amanda Joiner, who recently joined the hotel from the corporate sales and marketing team of The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company. Joiner is an accomplished and versatile hotel executive, recognized for a leadership background which encompasses both operations and sales and marketing.

Amanda Joiner brings 20 years of experience to her new position, having launched her Ritz-Carlton career in 1991 with a seven-year management tenure at The Ritz-Carlton, Atlanta. Her early areas of expertise encompassed housekeeping and guest services as well as conference services and sales management. After moving to another brand for a brief period, she returned to The Ritz-Carlton in 2001, becoming Director of Group Sales and Area Director of Sales and Marketing for both The Ritz-Carlton, Atlanta and The
Ritz-Carlton, Buckhead. In 2010, she returned to operations, becoming Hotel Manager for The Ritz-Carlton, Atlanta.
In 2012, Joiner brought an acclaimed new roster of marketing innovations to The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, as she was named Senior Corporate Director of Sales Planning and Support, and charged with providing global strategic direction for the brand’s direct sales efforts. In this international leadership role, she designed and launched performance planning, measurement and recognition programs which now lead the way in the hotel sales management sector.
Amanda Joiner’s arrival at The Ritz-Carlton, St. Louis coincides with the start of the hotel’s popular fall/holiday season, when area families will celebrate and create #RCMemories to last well into the following year. Favorites of the coming months will include October 31 Halloween Trick or Tea, the November unveiling of the annual holiday tree and décor extravaganza, and November and December dining celebrations and events to include multiple dates for Teddy Bear Tea and Brunch with Santa. A special highlight of the season will take place between December 11 and 13, when the hotel will present live Reindeer Editions of Teddy Bear Tea.
