ST. LOUIS, MO – November 17, 2016 – On the heels of stunning transformations to its public and ballroom areas, The Ritz-Carlton, St. Louis has further raised the bar on Midwestern meetings and events -- announcing an enhanced meeting services program designed to motivate, entertain, and complement the hotel’s inspiring setting.

"We have spent the past two years reimagining meetings and catering for The Ritz-Carlton, St. Louis, said Amanda Joiner, General Manager. “Beginning with the remastering of our ballroom wing, and enhanced by the recent makeover of our lobby lounge and bar, this project has been crafted not only to showcase contemporary beauty throughout the hotel – but also to make business personal, providing truly special, customized touches that are new to meetings. "

The hotel’s 2016-2017 group experience is highlighted by the following advancements:

  • New lobby design, featuring a stylish blue color palette, dramatic and artful details, and furnishings which encourage gathering, networking and dining.

  • Making Business Personal, an initiative focused on delighting planners and their attendees with personally-treasured moments. As an example, the hotel culinary team asked for a recent group’s favorite childhood recipes, and they then served those dishes throughout the event’s meals and breaks.

On another occasion, the Ritz-Carlton, St. Louis concierge curated a personalized local arts tour for an event planner. Knowing the planner’s passion for architecture, he took her through the city in his own car, making stops in the order of each building’s design and construction. The tour ended with them both lying on the floor of the cathedral basilica gazing at the ceiling – which is home to the second largest mosaic masterpiece in the world.

The same concierge hoped to do something special for a homesick event attendee who managed a famed department store in Manhattan. With the assistance of a New York-based friend, the concierge had photos taken of the store’s then-current window displays and arranged for a pastry version of those displays to be presented as a special amenity to the guest.
  • The Ritz-Carlton Impact Experiences – a signature brand-wide offering enabling event participants to leave a lasting and authentic impact on the local community. The hotel’s own Impact Experience, “A Winning Park,” takes place at nearby Forest Park, where groups can help to sustain the beloved urban oasis and preserve its history via team-building, beautification brigades and flora management assistance.

  • A new Meetings of the Senses program encouraging event participants to immerse themselves in the hotel’s surroundings, enjoying creative experiences inspired by the local area and popular culture. Expert planners at The Ritz-Carlton, St. Louis use Pinterest to spot visual trends which will resonate with attendees of all ages, and their walkable meeting breaks now take meeting participants directly into the hotel’s Clayton neighborhood – home not only to the greater Forest Park area but also to dozens of restaurants, parks, paths, trails and a renowned offering of outdoor sculpture, statuary and art.
  • Innovative banquet dining, including the recently launched nitro coffee -- a cold brewing process providing a smooth, rich coffee with 67% less acid and two to three times the caffeine content of hot-brewed coffee. The cold coffee is poured from a tapper and can be served in a cup, tumbler or beer mug. For lovers of the outdoors, the hotel’s new event picnic experience provides a memorable dining outing to Forest Park, complete with up to 100 individual picnic baskets for group participants.

The Ritz-Carlton, St. Louis features more than 30,000 square-feet of meeting and event space, including the 12,750-square-foot Ritz-Carlton Ballroom, the Amphitheater and eight meeting rooms ranging in size from 483 to 1,680 square-feet. The Ritz-Carlton Ballroom is conveniently located on the Lobby level of The Ritz-Carlton and can accommodate from 125 to 850 guests. A separate Ballroom valet entrance also provides guests with a seamless event experience, from warm welcome to fond farewell.
