The hotel’s 2016-2017 group experience is highlighted by the following advancements:
New lobby design, featuring a stylish blue color palette, dramatic and artful details, and furnishings which encourage gathering, networking and dining.
Making Business Personal, an initiative focused on delighting planners and their attendees with personally-treasured moments. As an example, the hotel culinary team asked for a recent group’s favorite childhood recipes, and they then served those dishes throughout the event’s meals and breaks.
On another occasion, the Ritz-Carlton, St. Louis concierge curated a personalized local arts tour for an event planner. Knowing the planner’s passion for architecture, he took her through the city in his own car, making stops in the order of each building’s design and construction. The tour ended with them both lying on the floor of the cathedral basilica gazing at the ceiling – which is home to the second largest mosaic masterpiece in the world.
The same concierge hoped to do something special for a homesick event attendee who managed a famed department store in Manhattan. With the assistance of a New York-based friend, the concierge had photos taken of the store’s then-current window displays and arranged for a pastry version of those displays to be presented as a special amenity to the guest.
The Ritz-Carlton Impact Experiences – a signature brand-wide offering enabling event participants to leave a lasting and authentic impact on the local community. Innovative banquet dining, including the recently launched nitro coffee -- a cold brewing process providing a smooth, rich coffee with 67% less acid and two to three times the caffeine content of hot-brewed coffee. The cold coffee is poured from a tapper and can be served in a cup, tumbler or beer mug. For lovers of the outdoors, the hotel’s new event picnic experience provides a memorable dining outing to Forest Park, complete with up to 100 individual picnic baskets for group participants.
