ST. LOUIS, MO. – October 20, 2016 – Holiday dreams will come alive at The Ritz-Carlton, St. Louis this year, as the hotel’s recently transformed lobby will be further transformed by the presence of a magnificent St. Louis Arch – eight feet tall and made completely of gingerbread. The edible arch will tower over a translucent, five-foot wide snow globe rising to almost six feet in height and containing its own active snowstorm and gingerbread village, complete with an ice skating rink with mini-skaters, iced trees, wee pastry houses and charming shops. The delectable winter wonderland will be available for holiday viewing beginning November 26, 2016.

The lobby Gingerbread Arch will be fashioned from flavorful bricks created with 250 pounds of flour, 50 pounds of molasses, two pounds of ginger and 125 pounds of royal icing. Each brick can actually be personalized with icing, and guests and members of the public may “purchase” individual bricks to personalize, with all funds from the $20 USD per-brick personalization charge to be donated by the hotel to the city’s Ronald McDonald House.

A further highlight of 2016 holidays at The Ritz-Carlton, St. Louis will be the December 10th and 11th “Reindeer Editions” of beloved Brunch with Santa and Teddy Bear Tea. These highly engaging animal meet-and-greets will feature a special visit by a live reindeer – just in the nick of time to assist with Santa’s December workload.

Hotel guests and the public alike are invited to partake in holiday dining and events at The Ritz-Carlton, St. Louis, from unforgettable Thanksgiving and Christmas meals to the abovementioned magical traditions of Teddy Bear Tea and Brunch with Santa, along with an epicurean five-course New Year’s Eve dinner in The Grill.
