Al Wadi Desert, Ras Al Khaimah; 22nd March 2017: On March 25th, between 8.30 p.m. and 9.30 p.m., Al Wadi Desert invites guests to take part in the most important environmental event of the year, Earth Hour. Celebrated since 2008 in the UAE, the initiative founded by World Wildlife Fund for Nature (WWF) raises awareness on sustainability issues on the planet and gives everyone the opportunity to show their commitment to the planet.

Al Wadi Desert, Ras Al Khaimah, a Ritz-Carlton Partner Hotel, invites guests to celebrate the Earth Hour with a stargazing activity, while the resort switches off non-essential lights. Families and friends will enjoy watching the stars while listening to stories and anecdotes told by the resort’s dedicated activity officers, on the stargazing platform.

Environment responsibility is a key pillar of the Community Footprints programme, the company’s social and environmental responsibility programme embraced by Ritz-Carlton properties around the world.

  • Stargazing activity, 8.30 p.m. to 9.30 p.m.
  • Complimentary for guests
