Luxury, Nature and Adventure Spell out Fun for Families at popular Desert Resort

Set within the sanctuary of Wadi Khadeja and composed of 101 Bedouin-inspired villas, the resort is a plush sanctuary with private pools, a spa with state-of-the-art hydrotherapy and a unique signature Rainforest Experience, an activity center offering archery and camel rides in addition to an array of other facilities.  The Experience Concierge is at hand to create unique itineraries for adults and children alike.

The resort takes destination dining to the next level by creating private BBQ menus featuring Arab, Western or Asian cuisine according guest preference. Couples and families can elect to dine on their private, shadowed 100 sqm villa deck, with a personalized menu created by one the expert chefs at the resort or can opt for the Desert Oasis Private Dining where guests are guided to their dedicated dinner location in the desert where a specially-set up barbeque awaits.

A stay at the resort provides guests of all ages the opportunity to discover spectacular views and natural beauty at their doorstep and explore the multiple-facets of the landscape through interactive activities. Families can learn about the celebrated Arabian custom of falcons through Falconry shows which demonstrate the importance of the hunting bird in the Bedouin culture and its training. Parents and children can also partake in a little competition with an Archery tournament in either the day or night - or observe the local birdlife on a bird-watching walk to identify local and migratory birds while spotting animal tracks. Budding astronomers can also sign up for Stargazing and Moongazing, learning how to identify the constellations and stars as well as catch seasonal meteor showers.

Children can take part in the resort’s Ritz Kids program which offers a complete immersion in adventure, exploration and education in the natural wonders and cultural traditions of Ras Al Khaimah. The roster of activities feature camel rides, bedtime stories under the stars as well as activities to learn about nature and new skills as well as a treasure chest of video games.

The resort’s very own equestrian centre, located at the heart of the reserve, features stables and paddocks and offers professional horse-riding sessions in the dunes or in the closed grounds of the centre. Children and adults alike can visit the stables at any time of the day to learn from the equestrian experts on caring for the horses.
