The luxury desert resort hosted fifty Ritz-Carlton associates from all over the world for an intense and countdown to the opening.

DUBAI, United Arab Emirates; 26th December 2016:

Al Wadi Desert, Ras Al Khaimah, a Ritz-Carlton Partner Hotel, has officially started operating as a partner hotel on December 15th 2016.

The luxury brand has started a conversion process and will eventually manage The Ritz-Carlton Ras Al Khaimah, Al Hamra Beach and The Ritz-Carlton Ras Al Khaimah, Al Wadi Desert, growing the brand’s footprint in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to five by 2017.

In view of this transition process, the iconic luxury brand has gathered fifty of the finest Ladies & Gentlemen from other Ritz-Carlton properties around the world, representing all divisions, coming together for a full week of training and guidance at the resort. The Ritz-Carlton associates worked with all transitioning associates and shared some guidance on The Ritz-Carlton service culture and philosophy, while contributing to the implementation of service standard in operations.

The Ladies & Gentlemen of Al Wadi Desert, Ras Al Khaimah, shared that this experience has been enlivening for both trainers and trainees, setting the ground for a promising hospitality season carrying the legacy of the luxury hotel brand in the region.

To crown this enriching experience, the resort’s Guidance Team gathered for a symbolic action, planting a Ghaf tree - national tree of the UAE – on the resort, in presence of Mr Yannis Anagnostakis, CEO of RAK Hospitality Holding and owner’s representative. All two hundreds associates at the resort were also offered a tree to plant in the reserve, in honor of the transition and to illustrate the future growth of the company.

“We are thrilled to see so many passionate professionals coming together to bring this place to greatness, and I look forward to seeing many positive changes on the property in the future”, said Mr Anagnostakis.
