Experience festive events, overnight packages, and more this holiday season

WASHINGTON, D.C. (November 2017) – This holiday season at The Ritz-Carlton, Washington, D.C. promises to be the most joyful yet, with a full calendar of special events and overnight packages planned for both hotel guests and local visitors. The celebrations begin this November and will include a range of events including decadent holiday meals, gingerbread making classes, and cocktails and hot chocolate on the patio.

Marvel at this year’s stunning Wishing Tree in the hotel’s main lobby reminding guests of the season of giving.  The tree is decorated with holiday wishes from children of Martha’s Table, a local organization dedicated to fulfilling the needs of low-income and homeless children, families, and individuals.  Festive gingerbread ornaments created by Executive Pastry Chef John Quinn and the Pastry Team will also hang on the beautiful Wishing Tree. In addition to the magnificent Wishing Tree in the hotel lobby, The Ritz-Carlton, Washington, D.C. will be offering the following:

  • Thanksgiving Dinner in Westend Bistro - Enjoy a traditional Thanksgiving family-style dinner menu in Westend Bistro on Thursday, November 23rd from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. for $85 per adult and $40 per child, ages 12 and under.
  • Hot Chocolate Flight Special – In both Quadrant and Westend Bistro, dive into the holiday spirit with three indulgent hot chocolates from around the world specially prepared by our Executive Pastry Chef. This hot chocolate flight will be offered in our lounge and restaurant from November 29th to December 24th.
  • Cocktails & Hot Chocolate on the Transformed Patio - Warm up with seasonal cocktails on Westend Bistro’s patio from November 28th to December 24th. Featuring intimate seating, outdoor heaters, warm pashminas and festive decorations; the patio offers a beautiful and intimate space for socializing with friends this holiday season. Don’t miss complimentary hot chocolate from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. that can be spiked for $10.
  • Chocolate Decadence – Savor one of the world’s most popular flavors at the delightful Chocolate Decadence Event in Quadrant Windows. Experience a haven for chocolate connoisseurs with candy, cakes and tarts galore prepared by our Pastry Team whose creativity has no bounds. Adding to your bliss is a welcome champagne cocktail and a candy cane bar.  Available Saturday, December 9th from 7:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. for $50 per person (Westend Bistro diners - $20 per person).
  • Gingerbread House Decorating Class – Led by the hotel’s pastry team, children will learn the art of decorating gingerbread houses while having fun creating their own to take home.  Enjoy hot cocoa and holiday cookies and go home with a gingerbread creation and a Ritz-Carlton chef’s hat and apron.  Sunday, December 10th from 3:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. for $75 per child, ages 3 to 12 including tax and gratuity.
  • Christmas Eve Dinner in Westend Bistro – Enjoy a festive three-course prix fixe dinner to celebrate a special evening the night before Christmas. Reservations available from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and are required by December 10th.

Please note that Westend Bistro will not be operating brunch hours on Sunday, December 24th.

  • Christmas Breakfast Buffet – Start Christmas day on a delicious note with a leisurely breakfast buffet at Westend Bistro from 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. for $45 per person ($58 per person to include bottomless champagne and bloody mary bar).
  • New Years – The Ritz-Carlton, Washington, D.C. will be hosting a variety of New Years celebrations from a four-course prix fixe dinner in Westend Bistro for $95/person and holiday cocktails and live entertainment in Quadrant on New Year’s Eve to a Recovery Breakfast Buffet in Westend Bistro on January 1st for $45 per person ($58 per person to include bottomless champagne and bloody mary bar).

For guests looking to take advantage of our luxurious accommodations that underwent a multi-million dollar renewal, the hotel is offering overnight packages that include holiday meals delivered to your redesigned suite and hotel credits that can be used towards any of our holiday meal celebrations.

  • Savor the Holidays Overnight Package - The holidays involve endless delectable culinary opportunities. Share those special dining moments at The Ritz-Carlton, Washington, D.C. and receive a $50 food & beverage credit that can be used at any of our outlets and towards our special holiday meals over Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years. The “Savor the Holidays” package starts at $289 and is available from November 18th to December 31st, 2017.
  • A Culinary Experience to be Thankful for - Stay for a minimum of two nights over Thanksgiving in a luxury suite and give thanks this season with a family-style traditional Thanksgiving dinner, including a delicious tender turkey, delivered straight to the dining room of your suite. In-room delivered Thanksgiving meals are prepared by our Executive Chef and are made for 6 to 8 guests.  This package is available from November 20th to November 27th (length of stay must fall over Thanksgiving) and is starting at $3,000 per night for The Presidential Suite and $4,500 per night for The Ritz-Carlton Suite.
  • ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas - ‘Twas the night before Christmas, and all through your suite, came a tasty Christmas Eve dinner and sweet little treats. The guests were all nestled all snug in their seats, while our Executive Chef delivered a family-style feast. The children and parents gathered ‘round with delight - Happy Christmas to all, and to all a good night! This special overnight package includes a festive Christmas Eve meal delivered straight to your suite. It is available from December 20th to December 27th (length of stay must fall over Christmas Eve) and is starting at $3,000 per night for The Presidential Suite and $4,500 per night for The Ritz-Carlton Suite.
  • Take the Elevator Home NYE Package - Start your New Year’s Eve celebration with two complimentary cocktails and an appetizer in Quadrant Bar & Lounge and end the night in a redesigned deluxe room or suite. This package is starting at $289 and is available from December 29th to January 1st.
