WASHINGTON, D.C. – April 2017 – Roscoe “Rocky” Black has been named Director of Residences for The Residences at The Ritz-Carlton, Washington, D.C.

Bringing over thirty years of experience in the hospitality industry with a specialty in The Ritz-Carlton Club and Residences, Mr. Black will oversee daily business operations for the 162-unit luxury condominium complex located in Washington, D.C.’s West End neighborhood. He will work closely with George Munz, General Manager of The Ritz-Carlton, Washington, D.C., to ensure that residents are provided The Ritz-Carlton’s legendary service.

Mr. Black most recently was the Director of Operations for The Ritz-Carlton Club & Residences in Vail, Colorado. After graduating from Montana State University, started his hospitality career at the Boulders Resort in Carefree, Arizona and moved on to work for Hyatt Hotels and Resorts where he held various leadership roles.

In 2009, Mr. Black joined The Ritz-Carlton Club, Aspen Highlands as Club Manager for Club Services. During this time, he quickly moved up to a senior leadership role and was then promoted to Director of Operations. His expertise in hotel and resorts was honed not only from his experience with The Ritz-Carlton, but also as owner and operator of his own resort, The Resort at Glacier, Glacier National Park, and his development background with Roth Development Company.

Mr. Black is a seasoned Ritz-Carlton Hotel & Resort operator, combining his knowledge with other resort companies such as Les Saison-Private Residence Resort in Sun Valley, Idaho. His vast experience with The Ritz-Carlton and within the hospitality industry have prepared him well for his new role as Director of Residences at The Ritz-Carlton, Washington, D.C.
