WASHINGTON, D.C. (February 2017) - The Ritz-Carlton, Washington D.C. kicked off the new year by unveiling refreshed guestrooms and well-appointed suites. Its most luxurious accommodation, The Ritz-Carlton Suite, was completed this month and offers an eclectic yet sophisticated ambiance.  Designed by New York City-based design firm Meyer Davis, the suite is the final installment of a full property renewal, including the 300 guest rooms and suites, meeting spaces, Club Lounge, lobby and public spaces.

Inspired by the residences of Washington, D.C., The Ritz-Carlton Suite evokes a ‘home away from home’ experience while marrying accents of traditional American design and contemporary luxury that is synonymous with The Ritz-Carlton.  The suite features a master bedroom, spacious living room with a cozy fireplace, formal dining room with adjacent pantry, and an expansive outdoor terrace offering stunning panoramic city views of downtown Washington, D.C.

The 2,250 sq. ft. suite features expansive one and a half marble bathrooms, which include exclusive Asprey bath products, a rain forest shower, oversized Jacuzzi bathtub, and plush terry robes and slippers.  For entertaining, the spacious living room features a fireplace and LCD flat-screen HD TV with Bose sound system, while the formal dining room seats up to ten guests.  When staying for business, guests of The Ritz-Carlton Suite can take advantage with easily accessible charging stations and the latest tech gadgets.

The new design takes a layered approach by embracing the classic history of the Nation’s Capital and breathing new life into the aesthetics, to create a space that is fit for the city’s modern energy.  It places an emphasis on celebrating the architectural details that are renown in the luxury residences of the city, offering a pleasing palette that balances refined textures with bold accent fabrics, graphic floorcoverings and brass details bringing a sophisticated and residential feel to the hotel.  Dark trim frames fair wall covering as the backdrop for eclectic furniture vignettes, crafted lighting and contemporary artwork are casually layered throughout the suite, introducing notes of quirky residential moments, which provide a uniquely intriguing sense of style that resonates with the Ritz-Carlton, Washington, D.C.
